Comment:

The class and lab isn't bad, especially if you are interested in environmental geochemistry. It is actually very interesting. The problem is her... She is very snappy. She doesn't teach things right or give proper instructions on labs, but then snaps at you for not knowing it!

Comment:

Dr. Donahoe is very passionate about her work, which makes the class so much better. The homework assignments are through pearson, so they can be kind of difficult. The quizzes are online, but pretty easy. There are 3 tests and a final, not cumulative, and she drops the lowest score of each category. The only thing I didn't like were the labs.

I love Geo and I think this was an amazing class. She posts the notes online, but go to class, will sometimes have clicker questions for attendance. The lab is easy, and the tests are long but easy. I would recommend her and this class.

Comment:

Simple class, very interesting material in my opinion. Stuff I never knew before but could help me later in life. Good to get a science credit. Has reviews outside of class before the tests, go. Also read the textbook chapters. I averaged a B on all the tests but with the lab grade and all the help she gives you, I made an easy A.

ABSOLUTE WORST PROFESSOR I have had after 3 years at Alabama. Her class is boring, you don't learn anything, and her tests don't cover material she puts on her powerpoints. She is so unhelpful and not understanding to anything at all. DO NOT take her!!

She gives weekly homeworks and if you want a good grade on it, you have to go see her every single week for help. She makes the tests too long to finish. Test and homework out of sync with lectures. Seems uptight and a little snarky. Don't take it unless you absolutely have to.

This is a course she made up herself. I have honors 200 level and above classes that are easier than this. She doesn't use the book she makes you buy and the tests, homework, and quizzes are HARD! She almost constantly goes over the time were supposed to get out and then gets mad when we leave.DONT TAKE THIS LADY! Unless youre a geologist i guess

Very good class. Clicker quizzes are useless as far as grading but it does count towards the attendance. This is a great course to take if you need a science credit. She gives good study guides and the online quizzes will benefit you significantly. Also, the lab required for this class is very interesting. Overall the best class I had in the Spring

It was an ok class. The clicker quizzes are useless, and she puts everything online, so you don't have to show up. You can tell she tries to be non-biased, but she doesn't succeed. She averages one attack on the Bush administration per week. Overall, it's an ok class, just incredibly boring.

By and large, this was the worst class I have ever been in. All she does is read what's on the powerpoint; this could easily be just an online class. The "clicker quizes" are pointless. It was hard to communicate with her. She kept going on and on about Colorado. The class is uninteresting, and she doesn't help. She's actin' like she's the queen!

Rona Donahoe is flawless. She has two Fendi purses and a silver Lexus. I hear her hair's insured for $10,000. I hear she does car commercials. In Japan. Her favorite movie is Varsity Blues. One time, she met John Stamos on a plane. And he told her she was pretty. One time, she punched me in the face. It was awesome. No, really though, she sucks :/

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! this class is for non-majors... but you wouldnt think so if you attend any of her lectures. there are only 3 tests including the final and some of the information is not in the powerpoints she puts online! she's also quite boring and loves to turn the A/C on freezing to the point where you can't pay attention
