Professor Luther can be very intimidating and information overloads students. While she is very willing to help her students, her in class problems are extremely difficult and more often than not are based on something completely unrelated to the material at hand. Fair at best but if you work hard and show her you care, you will be fine.

She is a very nice person. No matter what this is a hard course with difficult material. I think pro. Luther is interested in you getting a good grade and will you give opportunities to get good grades only if you are willing to put in the effort. You need to go to each class and really pay attention and you will do well.

Professor Luther is a wonderful overall person but as a teacher she is awful! She goes through her classes so quick and attempts to teach you a whole book in one semester. Her tests are so hard, and sometimes about things she hasn't even taught us. She gives us 20minutes per 20q's quizes. Majority of people dropped her class. DON'T TAKE HER.

She does care about her students I can give her that. The only problem is she goes way too fast with lectures and it's a difficult time trying to understand the problems when she immediately moves on to the next. How are we supposed to learn from that? Every other week she gives a quiz and I think we should go over the problems more before.

Amazing professor! FIN 301 is a difficult class but she explains everything so well, you barely need to go over it in the textbook. She is very accessible outside of class and will see you at any time you need! Tests are difficult but she scales them and she gives you extra credit. She takes pride when you do well in her class!

Professor Luther is by far one of the best professors I've had during my tenure. She will teach you the skills to not only do well in school, but also excel in the industry. She will meet with students on her off hours and weekends, and has a great sense of pride in her students' accomplishments. Highly recommend her for this and any other courses

Finance is a hard topic generally speaking, but she made a lot more difficult than it needed to be. In class she would teach us basics like "what is 1 + 1" and the tests and homework would be more like "find the circumference of the sun and how long it would take us to get there". DO NOT TAKE. If you can get any other Professor do it.

Was definitely a hard class, but you will learn a lot. She teaches at a fast pace and takes attendance every class. Assigns a lot of homework but doesn't check it until the end of the semester for extra credit. You will need the textbook. she assigns homework from it and quizzes us on chapter reading for participation points

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! she genuinely cares about giving you an education instead of just helping you simply pass the class. She is funny when necessary and is all around such a great human being. If you respect her and listen to her lectures and do your work you will pass. Definitely will take this class again 100x over

Professor Luther is one of the best Business professors Salem State University, if not the best. She personalizes her teaching to suit each class and individually each student. The information I received from Professor Luther is unmatched by any professor. She helped me get the information I needed to get an internship and is not my advisor.

She is one of those professors that expects you to fully understand a concept after one explanation of it. The way she explains things is very vague and confusing. She needs to find a different approach because the way she does thing's now just isn't cutting it. Please do yourself a favor and try and find a different professor.

If you want to be treated as child this professor is the one for you. Participation is mandatory and you will be call by name and ask to go to the board and solve problems in front of the entire class (it reminded me of elementary school) Do yourself a favor and take a class with a different professor.

If you are finance student or actually interested in knowing finance, i suggest you don't take Luther. although she acts as if she knows what she is talking about, she talks too fast and jumps over the whole topic. i barely understood anything in her class. Also, her grading criteria is not very clear.

She is a great teacher. Class is hard. If you put the work into it, she is very fair. She drops lowest grade and scales all tests. Must be prepared for class to earn points which account for 10% of grade. Do the work and you will be fine.

Prof Luther is an a outstanding teacher; she has great skill in explaining TVM, rates of return, investment strategies. Clarified equations and work-ups on board with care; knows her students. As well, she's warm, witty, practical, and direct. In my prep for b-school,one of the most helpful professors ever. You can learn so much with her...
