Mrs. Mattox was definitely a different character. She talked to my class as if we were extremely slow or mentally challenged. She made the class keep up with a daily journal which was a complete waste of time. Even though I made As on all my writing assignments and the online quizzes we took, I still only made a B in the class.

She is great. This is an easy class. All you have to do is your study journals and a few papers. She is very fair and gives plenty of time on assignments. Most of the time we were done with class at least 30 min. early!

Mrs. Mattox is very sweet! You do have to do yur work though if you dont you will not get a good grade its not about who she likes and dislikes its who does their work and who does not. So if you want to pass do all your work and get good grades on your writings. Very fair LOVED HER

EASY class!!! The whole class is based on grammar exercises.2 timed writings and 1 research paper!really don't have to come to class, just read the online assignment list. She is very understanding and is not critical on due dates.She is VERY country but is a sweet lady! If you are not big on writing papers,this is the class for you!

She is a good teacher. She can be kind of boring sometimes, but she is a very nice person. She is always there to help and she trys to make everything as easy as she can. I say that attendance is not manditory, but she does keep track of attendance. In my opinion; she is one of the better English teachers at Clayton.

My 2nd time taking this class online from Mrs. Mattox after withdrawing the 1st time. The class was less confusing and straight-forward this time. If you already know how to write, this is the class for you. Assignments consisted of 2 essays and a research paper as homework and an essay, each, for the midterm and final. She is a very caring person.

Mattox is a good teacher if you like to work at you own pace. She provides all the info and direction that is needed to learn (online resources). Writing assingments are fun and easy. She has a great personality and is easy to get along with. If you like a step by step class then do not take her.

Ms. Mattox is a very well organized teacher, knew what she is doing. She wis willing help everyone who asks for it. Some thought she was really hard to deal with but respect works both ways. Take her if you can, you will not regret it. Ms. Mattox makes English and writing fun and easy.
