Dr. Dion was a wonderful teacher. He did a good job at teaching American Politics by tying it to things that are happening today. He can be a bit opinionated at times, but that didn't bother me personally because we tend to share the same political opinions. He inspired me to major in Political Science.

Dr. Dion is a very knowledgeable lecturer with a great sense of humor. He's undoubtedly a tough grader, but you know that, whatever your grade, you earned it rather than just being handed an A. He's very willing to provide detailed feedback on papers to help you improve, and respects students who make progress over the semester.

Extremely knowledegable and passionate guy. If you aren't there to learn (unprepared, texting, talking) he will call you out. But prepare for the class, do what he asks, and he will do whatever it takes to help you and make you successful in his class and beyond

Dr. Dion is my favorite. He knows the topic better than anyone in the department and is great at helping students when they ask. He is rather strict so do not show up late to class much and under no circumstances should you text. His tests are difficult and he is not an easy grader but he gives a good guide. He makes political science enjoyable.

Great professor and friend. Makes a great connection with his students and help them one by one to develop during the course (if you appear interested and do the readings, etc). Best professor of my American Experience.

I have had Dr. Dion for many different classes. You will not have a problem with either him or the material if you simply do the reading/work and pay attention in class. He will call you out if you do not. Very funny and all-around great guy.

I had Dr. Dion for a lot of classes. Like some of the other comments, he is a brilliant man, but he is very tough and very prim. Accuracy is the best thing to remember--especially on spelling and grammar.

Attendance isn't mandatory. USes the two books a lot. Like any other Dion class, he loves to give you help and direction on your papers, but is an enormously hard man to please grading wise. So be Aware. This class was very interesting, but it's a Dion class so he grades really tough and not appreciate the amount of work you put into a paper.

Knows what he is talking about and is really helpful, but is an extremely tough grader and enjoys calling out students in class and talking about his mother. Anyways, he acts like a enormous tool during lecture if you come in late or don't pay attention/read before class so be prepared. Loves to give you a ton of material to study for tests as well

Dr. Dion is a very hard grader. You better spend lots of time on your papers if you expect to get anything higher than a C; a B is a very good grade in his class. He is really funny, though, and class is entertaining. He doesn't care about attendance too much but there's not really a good reason to skip.
