Comment:

Don't come to this class thinking it will be an easy A. She makes you work for your grade. There will be multiple assignments that will be due every class period. She is a comical instructor with fun learning techniques so the class goes fast. Because of this class, I can confidently say that I know how to speak Spanish.

Comment:

She took over for a relatively easy professor that had to take medical leave half way through the semester. She bumped up the difficulty and terrified my entire class (of 10) in the first few days. She has a morbid sense of humor and it's funny if it's your type of humor. I wouldn't recommend if you're easily offended.

Comment:

She scared about 1/4 of the class into dropping out the first day of class. Wouldn't recommend this class for freshman. You need a sense of humor and a thick skin. Work hard and you'll do great. Def not an easy A, buy you'll get a really solid base for Italian. (When she shouts it's terrifying so don't make her mad, but she's generally a hoot!)

Quite frankly, one of the least professional professors I've ever had at this school. I've heard stories about her from friends in the past but to be honest I could not imagine a more intimidating, uninviting person to be teaching me. She spends more time yelling at us than helping us. NOT recommended.

She was an absolute joy of a teacher. She cracks jokes on the entire class, but not harshly. She's more than willing to help you if you show up for class and show her you need help. I couldn't have asked for a better professor. I learned more from her than my four years taking two other languages in high school.

she is the best I have ever had in Kent State. She seems hard but she is so funny when you understand her humor. this is the only class i learned SO MUCH! i strongly recommend her if you want to learn Italian or Spanish!

Very Difficult class, but after 10 weeks into the semester I feel as though I know more italian than I knew german after 3 years of it in high school. Overall great teacher, very helpful and definitely knows her stuff. If you want to learn italian, take her class, but if you don't want to work, run

Rosa is a very difficult teacher to please to say the least. You never know what kind of rude comments she might come up with next. A real card she thinks she is be carefull or you might feel like you are in one of her horror movie favorites with in GPA in the Balance. Suggest toning her out buying relazation tapes study cards.

Rosa Commisso is the best professor I've ever had.Great at what she does.Really helpful when you are struggling.Is tough but you will learn SO much in her classes.She is extremely funny too.Scary for like a day then you see she is nothing but a big softy.Take her over every other Professor for sure

She's really scary the first week or two, but once you start to understand her humor you will love her class. She gives a lot of homework, but it helps so much when it comes to taking her tests. The class is not easy, but you will learn a lot.

This professor will make you lose hair. You will develop a nervous twitch. You will get acid reflux. You will lose sleep. You will be afraid. But you will learn alot. You will laugh. You will accomplish something. Took four semesters, two in the summer. I have nothing but respect for her. Good Luck! You will NEED it!

Rosa is awesome. You have to have been pretty disrespectful to earn anything but kind-heartedness from her. She spends a lot of time helping students, so I am not sure why there were contradictory comments about that. The workload is no worse than any other for. lang. class, but seems easier and class goes quicker since she is great! !

Rosa is a hard teacher but has a big heart even though she doesn't like she would! She gives a lot of hw but it helps you learn. She's very entertaining and its not hard to be on her good side just go to class! Def. one of my best/hardest teachers!

Rosa Commisso is a WONDERFUL teacher. She makes her Italian classes fun and interesting. If you need extra help, she will take the time to help you. However, you will have to work--she wants you to know your stuff.
