This class was insanely hard. Prof D'Angelo is a crazy smart woman, but she's too smart to teach the material. She gets annoyed when people don't know the answers or have the same opinions as her. If you show her that you care, you'll get on her good side. I've never felt dumber in any class I've taken at Ramapo.

Comment:

This professor is amazing! Allowed us to edit essays to receive a better grade, always available for students, & provided students with extra credit opportunities. She is all around great and does not want to see any of her students fail. I would recommend this FYS class to anyone who is interested, but get ready to read and discuss books.

This was an amazing class! She cares so much about her students and gives them amble chances to increase their grades, and is understanding . Class was reading heavy but the books were all easy reads, and had an overarching theme. One of the best professors on campus. <3 Take her class, you will love it.

She was extremely vague and demanding about papers. At least a paper a week and she would barely give you a prompt and then would grade harshly. She was very condescending and gave no respect. This was supposed to be a First Year Seminar and she treated it like it was a level 400 class.

Comment:

Excellent teacher who demands a lot of her students, yet grading on assignments and tests was pretty lenient. My one complaint would be that she doesn't post her assignments on line, which would be helpful because students were often confused about what she wanted.

She loves talking but is very unspecific about things you are expected to do. She is very stubborn with her opinions and never agrees with you 100%. But if you write great papers, your grades will still come out good. Don't contradict with her, that's all I can say.

She is very particular of what she wants. If your answer is not what she is looking for the answer is always wrong, despite other opinions. Harsh grader. Very pessimistic and will make you feel uncomfortable of your work.

Avoid this class 100%. This professor does not know how to grade a paper. You watch movies, have class discussions, but she'll grade the papers horribly. She is not clear whatsoever on what she expects on the papers and if you do not interpret the movie exactly as she does, you will not do well in the class. Not to mention rude.

Dr. D'Angelo means very well but can sometimes be confusing with her directions and instructions. Always get help with your papers! Have multiple people edit your paper before turning them in. Make sure to research the topics discussed in class because she loves a good, intellectual debate.

she doesn't follow the syllabus and her instructions are unclear. participation really matters! she loves to talk so don't expect for your class to end early. her essays were all based on critical analysis and she barely gives good feedback. she lets you rewrite your essays with is highly recommended. i wouldn't want to take her class again.

not clear with instructions at all. says one thing one week, the next week it's completely different. doesn't follow syllabus. I've come to class with her ready to collect something that she never mentioned was due. no midterm. I managed to score an A- as my final grade. have learned a lot on the subject but I would not recommend taking this class.

D'Angelo is a very nice lady and she wants the best for all of her students. Her class is pretty easy. The only bad part about her is that she forgets the assignments, hates America and can be rude when you ask questions. Otherwise she is a good professor. Books, papers but No Final.

Had her for Italian Renaissance study. Liked the readings but Rosetta was scary; she screamed at us a lot, spontaneously assigned papers with two-day deadlines, didn't post anything online, didn't follow the syllabus, if you missed a class you're screwed. Sweet woman outside of class, but I usually left her class crying. She knows her stuff though!

Fantastic teacher! She is so sweet and so passionate! She really wants her students to do well and to understand the Italian language. The work is not overwhelming and if you study you are guaranteed an A. She really wants everyone to succeed. If you are going to take Italian, take Rosetta!

She is a horrible professor and the only way to get an A is if you hard core kiss her ass. She plays favorites like no other and pretty much hates men and Americans. All she talks about is Italy and how international she is. She assigns papers with no guidelines then gives out grades that she pretty much picked out of a hat.

Italian Cinema was a fun class. Watching movies and writing papers on them. Not too difficult but the final was kind of hard. However, she is very nice and understandable to her students and always smiling. If you work, you'll get an A. If have some problems, go and tell her, she'll understand and try to help you.
