Took online--it was great. Easy A; very helpful professor if you needed it, but his step-by-step instructions were pretty much idiot-proof. Very up-to-date, well-rounded class. Recommended.

His class is excellent. I'm a computer tech in my daily life, and even I learned a great deal in his class. He gives some great perspectives and ideas for incorporating technology into the classroom. The technology he uses is always cutting edge. Great for future teachers of any level of computer skill.

Prof Barneveld was a great prof! He frequently restructures the class to keep up with new technology. His class was interesting because we learned way more than just word processing; we used Skype, did podcasts, made digital stories... I took the course on-line and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend Barneveld for ED 205.

Excellent Instructor. Really knows his stuff. I have worked with PCs and Macs for quite awhile and still learned things from him. Would recommend taking class in person because he covers so many things plus it is easier to ask questions and get quick answers. Course much more valuable than I thought it would be. Very worthwhile for future teachers

He is really helpful. I thought too much time was spent on some things and not enough on others, but he is flexible. Also don't put off all the quizes and basic labs until the end, it will be over whelming. It was a pretty easy and interesting GPA booster.

Russ is a very cool guy. Some days, the labs will seem extremely tedious - especially if you know how to use PowerPoint, Word, etc., but the projects are quite good and he's an easy grader so long as you follow his not-hard-to-follow-unless-you're-an-idiot guidelines. His PowerPoint presentations are top-notch and helpful as well. Very nice guy.

Take his online course if you know computer basics, its really easy and saves you the time of sitting through class. Online class was very clear and well laid-out, dont just let the stuff pile up, do it when he posts it and youll be fine. about 10 online quizzes and a final which is old quizzes.

Barneveld is a good guy, 205 is just a bad class. If you have ever used a computer before this class is a complete waste of time, but since we have to take it barneveld makes its a painless as possible.

He was VERY easy and basically just had busy work for the whole class. He didn't care when you turn in things as long as you turned them in eventually. His mid-term and final came almost exactly from quizzes we had online during the semester.
