Dr. Parker is very helpful and passionate about what he teaches. For 326, it was a lot of writing and exams were all essays. He gives you a study guide for midterm & final. Great teacher.

The course is based entirely on his lectures, which are easy to take notes on. He isn't very available outside class, but he makes special hours for tests.

He doesn't take attendance but exams are based completely on lectures, so go to class and you'll do fine. He's switching to powerpoints next semester, which kind of sucks, but he's still a great professor.

very boring.Extreme amounts of reading material. Grades papers hard.Exams are all essays and consist of spewing a ton of knowledge in a short period of time.He goes all over the place with the subject and it can be hard to keep up with multiple dates and facts. No power points, just talks and writes on the chalkboard.

this class is terrible. He goes all over the place with the material and it becomes extremely confusing. Go to class take notes/ record lectures. He is a tough grader when it comes to the papers. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO.

super nice guy. If you are not interested in the history of wilderness preservation then this is not for you. I found it very boring due to lack of interest. 4 papers, midterm and comprehensive final. all writing on tests and was pretty hard. LOTS OF READING, tons of reading assignments on black board and lots of long books. not really fun.

The class was completely boring. He changed up his exams in the middle, then made it seem like we would be okay with his grading policy as this is a FRESHMAN CLASS, he totally confused me during class and the exams were HARD!!

He's really nice, but rambles a lot and your never sure what is considered a note and what is. Sometimes he goes on tangents about things that he doesn't want you to write down

Great professor! After taking Geography 120 with him I changed my major from chemistry to environmental science. Tests are based completely of lecture material, so take good notes. Ask him about when he lived in the Amazon with some of the native tribes. Entertaining and funny!

great teacher! he's nice and wants to see his students succeed. he lectures using the chalkboard and all of his exams are from the lectures so if you go to them and take good notes, you'll do fine. the only bad thing is that the only assignments in the class are 3 exams, so if you're not good with tests, you may have trouble!

One of the best professors I've ever had. He is old school. His lecture are oral so prepare to write. He doesn't use computers, PowerPoint, and still uses VHS tapes.

A pretty basic intro course. It's interesting, but really broad (... basic intro course). Go to class (strong emphasis here!), take notes and you'll do fine. Dr. Parker is a darn good professor and adviser. Can't wait to take his upper level courses!

hard class but interesting. great professor.important: take great notes. verything he repeats its important and also he will tell if it is a note or not. if your major is not geography dont buy the book. the exam is 100% based on the note. if you memorize EVERYTHING(date, numbers, name od countries, etc)and pay attention to the movies you will get A-

Environmental Science and Conservation. The class consists basically of two parts: 1 Take 100% of the notes that he wants you to take. 2 Going over the notes a thousand times. The class is hard, the exams are hard. I would not recommend this class for people who like to chill and have fun.
