Comment:

I took this class in the summer and it about killed me. 3 weeks straight of 10 hours of homework every day, even on weekends. The modules open up the day of only so you have no chance to slack or get ahead. Quizzes are 50% of the grade and are based on the powerpoints. Study those! She can be a little demeaning. Unclear of expectations on projects.

She is a knowledgeable and experienced professor. Her quizzes were very difficult, in my opinion, especially without good lecture notes. It was an interesting class but Im glad its over!

Really enjoyed this class. This professor reacts very very poorly to anyone showing up late. If she could tame her disdain for late arrivals there would be a higher attendance rate (people are too scared to walk in late, and instead of doing so chose not to come at all).

Comment:

Required class for my Teaching Credential for teaching foreign languages. Loved every second of it. She's bright, funny, interesting and can perk up your day. She explains the material well and gives many amusing anecdotes to help you piece it all together. I went to every class and was never bored. It's a shame it'll now be an online-only class.

Comment:

Funny, but definitely expects you to know basic grammar things before the class. The book doesn't help. If you can, take ENG371 before this. Going to the weekly lectures isn't mandatory and doesn't really help but sometimes she tells you what's on the test. Her teaching isn't very clear.

I missed probably 75% of the classes, and she has a rule in her syllabus that if you miss more than 3 your grade decreases 10% but I don't think she applied this to me. The tests are tough if you miss class, but all of the information is on blackboard in a powerpoint so if you study you'll do great. She's very interesting and class is fun!

DO NOT take grammar as an online class. It is not a class that can be taught online. If you expect to take this and get an A, you better be spending a lot of your own time to learn the material. You get one attempt for each quiz, with no feedback. And, basically your entire grade comprises of the quiz scores. Never taking an online class again.

Sara is an energetic, enthusiastic, intelligent woman who I have come to respect. It is only a difficult class if you don't show up, don't take notes, and don't pay attention. The reviews are really helpful, and the tests are based off of everything covered in class. The final was optional if you were comfortable with your grade.

Sara's intellect could run miles around most of ours, no joke. She can be hard to keep up with. But she's witty, passionate, well-read, interesting, and very invested in the subject and her students' success. She responds better to people who take initiative. Take her if you like this topic and a challenge! I learned VOLUMES!

I love Sarah. She's funny, INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, and has had impressive experience in the field. Her class is engaging and exciting, but also challenging. I also think she's just a generally nice person. Don't take this class to slack, but don't stress too much. Also, you might think I'm crazy but she looks VERY good for her age.

HIST of ENGL was a class I put off as long as I could.I wasn't really interested, but Trechter actually did pretty well with making me learn something. Her class was really difficult and she expects you to know a lot about a subject you will probably never use again(Old Englsih),and her asmnts. are difficult.If you want an easy B take another prof.

I love this teacher and plan on taking her for Engl 232. Lots of stuff to learn, but she makes it fun and interesting. Likes to cuss and be real. It's a tough class, but just stay up on the reading and the work and you'll do fine. She's awesome, can't wait for the next class.

Great, great teacher, but sometimes fairly disorganized. Well informed and willing to research what she doesn't know. Sara is interesting and interested. I highly recommend her.
