Comment:

There is a ton of work to complete in this class and the concepts are difficult at first, but Spencer is great and truly wants his his students grasp the material. Keep your head down and push through the assignments, giving it your best shot, and hell pay attention to your effort! Tutors for this class are also available if you feel lost.

Comment:

One of my all-time favorite teachers. He really cares about his students success, and yes he is quite demanding (for Emerson standards) but he is more than willing to provide feedback and assistance to help you reach your potential. Great teacher and overall good person, i'm 100% aiming to take another class with him

BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD. He is a tough grader but do your papers and just show him you know what you are talking about and you'll be fine. Loved his class so much. Recommend.

Favorite teacher. He's a tough grader but he's sassy and I learned a lot from him. He definitely caters to a certain person. He likes sass and people who aren't afraid to joke around while they get their work done. Take his class!

The worst professor I ever had. I thought he would be great to learn from, but then he started teaching. His requirements are IMPOSSIBLE!! He's not even a nice person. WORST TEACHER EVER!

Speech in general is not a fun class but unfortunately required. Kimball is an excellent teacher but extremely tough grader, doesn't make speech any less difficult. I recommend him if you actually want to learn and improve public speaking, otherwise I would switch to an easy teacher.

Kimball's a good guy, but he's one of the hardest graders I've ever encountered. His grading system doesn't motivate anyone to put in hard work, as the grades are so low. He holds you to a very high standard, so if you want a challenge he's your guy.

Spencer is honestly one of the best teachers/people around. Our class seemed more like a meeting than a class. We all joked around together and watched Spence's ADHD tendencies take effect, which was hilarious. Very smart, engaging, nice, approachable, reasonable and fair - best prof I've had as a Politics major. Highly Recommended.

Spencer is easily one of the best professors at Emerson. He's not coming back next semester, but he's brilliant and really supportive of his students. Although forming a relationship with him can take time, he is more genuine and invested than almost any other professor I've ever met.

Spence is the best teacher ever. His class is really laid back and pretty halarious at times. If you can take his class, you'de be stupid not to. (plus he cancels lots of friday classes.)

Comment:

Required speech class...class? More like slack off time. Spence is probably the easiest of the speech professors. He has a good sense of humor and is pretty lax about a lot of stuff. The class isn't so bad for an oral speech communications class.
