This professor although talks with clarity, the way he teaches the material should be greatly changed. Because honestly it completely sucks. The book is one of the most convoluted thing I've ever tried to understand. Especially with a course where you can't really find any resources on the internet. Seriously, if you do horrible don't feel bad.

the tests are identical to assignments. if you were to memorize the assignment solutions that he posts, you will get perfect in the course (like me). like that other guy said, if i had a penny for everytime he erased something and re-wrote it, id have $1000 right now. this prof will help you no matter what, very accessible

This prof spends a lot of time writing on the board tring to finish the notes he has...without aksing student about their level of understanding. We know that the course is tough, but he's not a teacher that can help you to like the topic..Also, TAs work with him, they lack experience.

He is probably one of the few instructors at YORK, who is not there to break your balls.Not well prepared in the class but he is helpful and will try to answer your questions. Tests are not too hard and not too easy and very similar to his assignments. Beware of his finals. He is a very tough grader and expects details.

I have had this prof for 1019 and 1090. He is polite and articulate. The test questions closely resemble the homework assignments. I like how he takes the time to carefully explain the proofs for axions and theorems covered in 1090.

The best instructor I've had in years. I consider myself lucky to be a student of this gentleman. The effort he puts into subject material and his individual approach makes Stefan a wonderful professor. Take any course you need from him if you can. Enjoy good classroom time and exploring math. Find out what a real gentleman he is.

Worst teacher I ever Had. He use to make very easy test but now he doesnt know what he asks in test himself.He blames Departemt has told him to make tests hard. He gives you false hopes and later on backs from it.I think Department has changed him a lot.

An extremely helpful, approachable professor. Makes the subject easy to understand, though can be a bit slow & boring sometimes. Marking is strict/lenient depending on what kind (4 points for a minor mistake/4 points for a major mistake...no difference!)

Not nearly as bad as most other profs teaching this course, but on the test gives weird confusing notations and never deducts less than 4 marks for a minor mistake. Can easy end up with 8 out of 20 on a 75% correct proof.

Unlike most professors in York, he has strategies of making this difficult course easier and more comprehensible. He is also understanding and willing to help students. What a great prof. He really has what it takes to win a teaching award!
