Comment:

Nice enough lady but takes a beginners spanish class way too seriously. Lot of homeowork every single class. Does not give any actual notes, just do exercises in class which is good for practice but you have nothing to study from for the test. Only 2 tests. Have to participate throughout the whole class.

Comment:

SPA 427 Hispanic world through film. This class was a killer, 3 hours one day a week it was pretty boring and dry . She tried to make it interesting as she could by choosing good movies to watch. She requires a lot of work which included a scene analysis every week along with 2 research papers and 2 reviews. The work load was massive

I'll make this simple, You will do more work in her class than any other Spanish prof. There is HW everyday; you speak Spanish in the class from the very beginning. You want an easy A? Do not take her. She is a nice woman but tough. You will learn Spanish if you take her:read it, speak it & write it. My class went through almost the whole textbook

She is the best proffesor ever! I absolutely loved her! She makes learning spanish so fun and she teaches so that you learn the culture, not just to get an A. If you try hard and pay attention, it is an easy A. Take her!!

Dr. Rubio is great! She does give a lot of work, but when learning another language I guess that's necessary. She is very helpful and patient with her students! As long as you come to class and try, you won't fail! She keeps her classes fun and interesting. She's a great teacher!

GREAT Professor. She definitely knows her stuff. Does a much as possible to get her classes involved. Very challenging. She makes things as clearest as possible and doesn’t leave students behind. She’s known for giving tons of work.
