Dr Gill isn't the best professor but he is understanding. He emails back in a timely manner. I hate that his exams have answers that don't correspond to the correct question. Other than that, he's a solid guy. Not my first choice but not my last either. I would suggest writing notes instead of typing them since he writes them out too.

Here is an ACCURATE review for you. Gill's notes are crazy i do admit, he goes back and adds stuff to previous sections when starting a new section BUT as long as you re-write your notes in an organized manner, you will be set for exams! All you need to ACE the exams is to study your notes! He pulls questions from there. IGNORE the textbook.

Considering UH's science department isn't great, Gill seems to be one of the better professors. His notes can be little hard to read and clicker quizzes are probably the hardest thing. His tests are just like his notes, so focus on that more than the textbook. He is understanding, helpful, and it is evident he wants his students to succeed.

I found it to be easier to type notes and draw the diagrams - its your best bet. Yes, his notes can be sloppy, but they really arent that bad. STUDY and youll be fine. Be sure to do the homework and be present for clicker quizzes, theyll help your grade. I ended up with an A-.

Dr. Gill is honestly not a bad professor. His class is intimidating at first and his notes are all over the place, but you get used to it and realize it's not that bad. You can tell he wants everyone to pass and gives generous curves. He's very approachable and sometimes makes funny jokes in class. His tests are exactly what he writes on his notes.

I got stuck taking Endocrinology my last semester of college. This class is worse than the dreaded Genetics Lab. Dr. Gill has decided no book, no slides, and no organization. It makes it extremely difficult to learn a subject when the professor only provides mediocre at best notes in class and then pulls material from elsewhere for the exams.

His notes are unorganized and he nitpicks details to put on the exams. Each exam has 100 questions and include things not covered in lecture. His exam questions have answer choices from A-G. He has clicker quizzes for which you get 10 seconds to answer each question. Apparently he curved some people's grades, but not mine. Avoid if you need an A.

3 exams (100 pts each). Unorganized notes from memory. Every test had questions on topics not discussed in class. Definitely not an easy A like previous review mentioned. Quizzes (30 pts) are extremely hard since he only allows 10-15 seconds per question. Highest quiz grade becomes extra credit + 5 pts EC for evaluation. Stay away if you need an A

He will get mixed reviews since the class is mostly freshman and sophomore. I'm a senior, and I thought his lectures were straightforward. He writes everything we need to know, and the lectures are all you need for the exams. I never read the book and still got an A, but I attended each lecture and studies notes twice a week.

Those who complain about Gill probably do barely any work and skip class. If you decide to take Gill, KNOW that his lectures are strictly handwritten: he writes it during class to show on the screen & doesn't upload them after, so attendance is MANDATORY as his tests are all based on notes. If you study the textbook only, you'll also be fine.

Science, especially science of the body is something that im very interested in. His class made me want to run away from the subject. He does not seem passionate about teaching and maybe interested in anatomy in the slightest. His lecture notes will stress you out.

One of the most smoothest upper level bio classes in my life. The prof is respected. His exams might be a bit tricky, but the curve is more than enough to where a 75 is an A. Lots of people got an A, I got an A and I am not super smart, so I think anyone can do it. Those who complain probably studied the night of. I think this class is an easy A.

Professor Gill is an excellent professor at UH, his lectures are all over the place but you will get use to it. Also there's hmw for every chapter on learnsmart. And he has clicker quizzes randomly, but if you miss any clicker quiz u can retake them. His test are 100+ questions EVERYTHING IS LECTURE BASED, so you will pass if you study his notes.

Lab 1 book was to the point and fill in blanks so helpful in learning AP. Lab 2 book is even better cause it has more stuff and quizes. I am doing so good only by reading the lab book. Dont blame the teacher cause you could not learn.

Took him for anatomy and physiology lab 2. The dude has actually written the most incohesive lab notebook of all time for both labs. Has post lab quizzes and assignments that you can't find the answers to in the book? Literally the worst lab notebook I have ever seen by far and this is my 7th lab at UH.

Professor Gill is amazing. He is informative and passionate. His test are hard, require materials understanding. First test is moderate, second is hard and third is easy. He curves a lots and gives bonus points. He encourages us not to give up after the first two tests, and says the grade does not reflect your understanding.

Gil is an amazing professor. Although his notes tend to get really messy he manages to get the job done. Be prepared to study A LOT because it is a lot of information. Exams are 100 questions. I definitely recommend taking him than the other A&P prof.
