Too passionate about lectures. With current situation with COVID-19, doesn't make the effort to accommodate students who have internet issues, computer issues etc. - if you can't get into the Zoom meeting, then you are missing out on information that you will need in order to pass exams.

Theres no homework in this class only two small essay but you have to go to class to get points and dont miss lectures. He is overall an amazing professor. Passionate about his lectures .

Dr. Murphy is an excellent Professor, he is thorough, precise and straight to the point. Make sure you attend class because of the participation points (poll everywhere). The study guides are your key to success, they reflect of the exams. Fill them out entirely and you should pass the exams, and essays are opinion based. I received an A. Good luck

Tim Murphy is a good professor, all you need to do to pass is pay attention during lecture and do the study guides for the tests. He posts all power points on canvas.

Graded by 3 exams, and 1 extra optional that will replace the lowest score of the previous 3. NO PAPERS! Writing requirements are met by weekly posts that are mostly opinions on the lecture material. Participation points from answering in class Polleverywhere questions (similar to Kahoot). You won't need the book if you pay attention/take notes.

Very motivational professor. He really shows that he is passionate of his work and you can feel it as well once you enter his classroom. The study guides for the exams are a little vague, because when we take his exams they're a little more in depth than the Study Guide. So make sure to scratch a little more than the surface when doing the SD

Don't take this class with any distracting friends. You will have a very difficult time. He puts all his powerpoints online, but he does not talk about it so I didn't realize it till 3/4 of the semester had gone by. If you study and pay attention, you'll be fine.

Professor Murphy is a great professor. Most of his class consists of lecture. However, at the beginning and end of class, he gives the class a review question which you NEED to be in class to answer. If you dont do it, you lose participation points every class meeting. IT WILL ACCUMULATE. And DO go to class every lecture for notes. Thats huge.

He's clearly happy to be teaching us, and he puts passion and energy into his lectures. They play off the book well, and having both and studying both can ensure you get a strong grade in the class. Professor's very friendly and is available to talk to, and seems understanding. Overall a good teacher I'd take again.

Would take his class again. Its an average powerpoint and take notes class, but they are very effective. Have to be there on time to get the full points for the class. I enjoyed his class. Good teacher.

Hes a great professor. You can tell that hes very passionate about what hes teaching. His lectures are a bit long and you really have to study for his test. The essays arent long at all usually just a paragraph so thats nice.

Mr. Murphy seemed like a very nice person, I didn't really get as acquainted because I took the hybrid class it goes by fast. There is not a lot homework, we focused on the tests. There are 3 test made up of 50 questions each, make sure you follow the rules otherwise he knocks out 5 points off your score. Good luck!

His class is very straight forward. graded off participation and 4 exams. He gives clear study reviews do those and pass exams. He drops your lowest exam so its graded off 3 exams and participation. His lectures are all that is needed to pass the class.

Very straightforward class. Three 100 point multiple choice exams, and one optional final. 10 discussion board questions worth 5 points each. Lectures get posted on blackboard along with study guide a few days before each exam. Did not buy or use textbook at all. Nice man, always at least 5-10 minutes late to 8 am lecture so take your time.
