Very easy class, but Stevens is extremely boring. She doesn't talk about anything important in history so the midterms are easy. Two midterms, 25 mult. choice and an essay which you are given the prompt for the class before. Final is in the same format. Random attendance sheet and 2 point quizzes. If you want an easy class, take it, but stay awake.

This class was a very boring experience. I felt there was no interaction with the students and teacher. There's no written hw, just reading about 40 pages from the book a week. You read about two novels as well. She's a nice person, but I didn't like her as a teacher. Tests (multiple choice/essay) are sort of hard. Passed w/ a B-.

Go to review sessions because she tells you the essay prompt and what kind of answer she's looking for, and pay attention to movies shown in class b/c there will be questions on tests. You don't really need to read the books that aren't the main textbook. To be honest, the only thing that bothered me is how you can't use blue books for essays.

Tina is a great History teacher. Many things were hard at first. The first test was bad, cause I didn't study well as quizzes most Fridays. However, group work is boring. I passed my second test, and the final and class with a C. Grade is based on 2 midterms, quizzes and final. Reviews show essay prompts ahead of time to help. Take her!!!!

She made class very enjoyable for a history class. Knows her material and is very clear. Opens to questions and ideas. Shows multiple films. Take notes! it will help alot. She goes over what the test will be on and gives you the writing prompt ahead of time. i finally understood history because of her :)

Very nice lady, but this class is hard! It requires the book and lectures. No homework which was nice, but the tests were killer. I got a low C even though I studied for days. She is willing to help though, and she made class enjoyable.

Professor Stevens is an amazing teacher. She loves her work and she loves to teach you the material. She cares only if you care. Absolutely clear on the material and is pretty concise on information. Midterms and Finals are tough because they require you to think critically. Pay attention and attend class because lectures have a point too. Pick her

I'm really glad I had her as my professor! The class itself was kind of boring, but I mean what history class isn't, unless your into history :) You have a quiz every class only 2-3 questions multiple choice. EASY, just read. Tests are easy if you read too! She makes it easy to understand the material by slide shows and films! Take her!! :)

Fairly easy, I still find it surprising how long she can lecture for. Read the textbook, take notes during the lectures, and try not to fall asleep during the films. There are 2 midterms but she drops the lowest and quizzes throughout the semester. Final was tough, but it's pretty easy to cheat in her class. I never attended and still managed a C+

Definitely talks in a monotone. 2 midterms and she drops your lowest grade outta the 2. They are always 20 multiple choice questions that are 3 points each and 2 essay questions. She tells you what to review ahead of time. It's harder to pass if you don't study or miss a lot of lectures.

Stevens is a decent professor. Her teaching style is fairly rudimentary and the homework is always reading. This is a class for people who prefer structure. The midterms are easy if you study. Go to class, take notes, watch the films, and listen to what she says. Just be a good student and you will be fine. NOTE: she is blatantly liberal.

Stevens is a great lady. If you attend class regularly and take notes, it is very likely you will get an A. She likes to show videos, which can be a little boring. However, she gives you a review of important terms before each test and gives a brief summary of the essay questions which is INCREDIBLY helpful. Great class!

Tina's awesome. She's an excellent teacher who knows her stuff. You MUST attend class to get her lecture notes as that is what the midterm and final are based on. And make sure you see the in class movies! The midterm's essay questions are based on those movies. If you take good notes and attend class you'll be golden.

She is a very good teacher. Knows her stuff. The class can be pretty boring. Attendance and reading the textbook are the most important things. She tests you on the chapters each week. She tells you what she expects of you. If you like history, she is the teacher for you.

HATED THIS CLASS. She was boring and gave absolutely no motivation for attendance, even though there is a sign-in sheet every class. a quiz every week, need to read the book to do well on these, midterms are ok if you go to class every time, which i didn't...

I'm a big fan of her. I hate history and I have a pattern of sucking at history classes but I went in and talked to her and she was very understanding and helpful. She's very clear in what she expects of you and what she will test you on.
