Great professor. If you do the reading and your work and participate in class you will learn a ton from him. He will make you work for your A, but it's not unreasonable. Take him if you want to learn a lot about the subject. Also very helpful and interesting person outside of class.

Comment:

Was hoping for a lot more from this class. It was short, and didn't define and explain the topics that we were discussing. It was as if he assumed that people knew about the issues being discussed. Too much was lacking from this course. Grading was inconsistent and undecipherable. GWU needs to do much more to improve the IT aspect of the biz prog.

GW really needs to revamp their IT course because what I learned here was fully useless. Can't say if it was the prof or if everyone's course is like this, but I've heard that other profs are better. This class was all about mapping processes and drawing up database IT models.

It's actually not a tough class and he's available if you ask for help. You will learn a lot from the Harvard Business School case studies and the other articles for assignments. He's a tough grader, but getting a B or B+ should be easy. It's the A that he doesnt just give away.

worst.class.ever. Vikas assigned tons of work, none of which had any real-world value. The grading was stiff (the only class in my entire program in which I received a B). Stay away if you have a choice -- otherwise prepare for a potential GPA killer.

One of the worst courses you will take at GW in the sense that you'll do a good deal of work but learn nothing out of it. However, this Prof. is okay. Everything is on his powerpoint slides, which go online. The lab is totally separate from the lecture, taught by a TA, and is a pain in the ass.
