Homework due for every chapter and 2 midterms and a final. Exams are difficult, but If you go to his review sessions he basically tells you what to study for. Exams are also curved. He overall is a really good teacher and if you go to class you should understand the material. Beware exams are difficult!

He's one of the most fair professor I've met. He gives away so many questions from the exam; if you're failing it's your fault. Don't procrastinate. Do your work and stay on top of your work. It seemed like those struggling with he class was due to his slides, but take a notebook and jot it down. It's much more efficient when solving for hw anyway.

The concepts are super hard but its not hard to pass the class bc he curves so hard. I did my best but got a C on the first midterm, D+ on the second, and B- on the final. I got a B- in the class after the curve. Tests aren't cumulative. I think the class is hard but the professor isn't a bad guy. Class is math heavy.

He's a really good professor and he cares about his students. It's not an easy A class, he tells you what going to be on the tests, sometimes changes the numbers, sometimes the same question as homework problems. He has review sessions before every exam. Go to lecture and do the HW and you'll be fine.

Worst professor I've ever met. He absolutely has no idea what he's talking about. Full of errors on his copy paste Powerpoint. He only gives formula and starts his nonsense. Midterm question is the same question from Question A from the book. His homework let students spent tons of time doing mission impossible Question B. I learnt nothing from him

Prof. Chung was alright. But sometimes you cant tell if he was joking or just being mean to students who asked questions. Do both sets of hws... Set A usually shows up on the tests. Materials arent easy but its doable if you work hard... do a lot of sample problems and it will be solid B... Work harder and understand the topics if you want A...

I thought the exams were pretty easy, you really have to be self motivated and do a lot of independent research to understand the material. Don't just rely on the book and the professor. The notations get a bit confusing because the book and Chung use different notation for WACC and a few others. You can skip classes and not worry too much.

Professor Chung is a great teacher! Sometimes, he copies and pastes HW questions directly from the textbook onto the exams, and he usually tells the class beforehand what kind of questions there'll be. Be prepared for free response questions along with multiple choice & T/F. Overall, if you study hard, you'll get an A.

Prof. Chung is very straight forward. If you go to all of his classes, you'll definitely get a good grade. Utilize the opportunity to go to his/his TA's office hours. He goes over test reviews in class and shows us how to do them.

Although Chung is a knowledgeable man and understands the material he teaches, he is an extremely rude and inconsiderate person. I witnessed a total lack of sensitivity as he heartlessly gave this student a very difficult time during office hours for no apparent reason, to the point where she was in tears and he was still giving her a blank stare.

No sympathy for anyone who struggles in this class. Prof. Chung gives review guides and his exams are quite similar to his exams. Even if you're not a finance major, this class isn't difficult and he is a good prof. The material isn't challenging and really it is an important course. Make sure you attend class because the powerpoints are blank

I really like Finance and this class was a bit of a challenge. Gives hints on what's on the test and lectures are clear. I read the book for a better understanding. Goes through a lot of information during lecture, so make sure to go because powerpoints have many many blanks.

Peter is knowledgeable. My problem with him is he is straight up rude. UCR should be more careful about hiring ill-mannered professors like Peter Chung and Long Gao.

Professor Chung is one of my favorite finance professor. He knows his stuff inside out and very clear in explaining concepts with real world example. I don't know why others are saying his 106 is difficult compared to others. His exams are not multiple choice, but it's not easy to get an A. The best thing is he curves the class by a lot.

Took two finance classes: BUS 106 and BUS 134 with Professor Chung. His midterms are fairly easy compared to final exam like most of the classes. He gives you study reviews before every exam and you are pretty much guaranteed B+ given that you studied all those. As long as you know his lectures, HW set A and study review, getting A is not difficult

Smart guy.. Tells you what to study so going into his exams aren't too difficult, given the assumption you actually studied. The median is set at B-, so passing this class isn't too hard. Overall the class is good, but Chung himself can be a bit "insensitive," although, it doesn't take away from his overall knowledge.

Definitely one of the best Finance professors at UCR. If you are a Business Finance major, then it is in your advantage to take Chung for 106. Chung knows his material and is a very knowledgeable man.
