Comment:
Rosenbaum is a very smart, and expirenced professor. This is college, so be ready for college level work. He explains everything thoroughly, but if you dont understand he is available to help explain, as well as the T.A. Dont think this is an easy A. Hes an amazing, and intelligent professor. Just pay attention, and do the work he assigns.

Comment:
Dr. Rosenbaum is not the usual professor. He has a lot of experience, and I respect him for that, but I feel his lectures are hard to follow, as well as the guidelines for homework. The tests are iffy, and you have to read the wording carefully. He is very technical. Same for the quizzes. Coming to class does help a bit, as does reading the book.

Save yourself , He is never on time for class ! The tests tend to be very heavy and he does not specify whats excatly will be in the test. Your better off teaching yourself!!!!

His lecture style consists of writing nothing on the board for you to write down. He has power points that do not include enough information for the test's. I sincerely think its time he retires.

I honestly do not recommend this professor to anybody. He is a tough grader and his research papers do not make sense. He does not explain exactly what is expected out of those papers which is very confusing !

Im taking his course this fall semester 2017 , and his lectures are very heavy and his exams are complicated. I do not recommend this professor to any one majoring in psychology !!!!!

His exam grading are way to picky and their are a lot of questions that are not related to what he has discussed in the previous lectures. Do not take his class , he gets off topic too much during lecture.

The tests are too specific to use the book. The lecture is him going on about his research. If you're not interested in dating violence/domestic violence, don't take this class. Every assignment is about it. There is no student driven research project like in other classes. He grades hard and posts rubric (a note to GA) after you turn in.

Mandatory class to take if you are majoring in psych, so one would put effort into it to pass. I Got a B+ as my final grade but I had to work for it. This isn't a blow off class and I hate it how people are treating him like hes a bad teacher. Hes passionate about his work. The TA grades the papers. 3/4 test on notes 1/4 book. online quizzes.

I didn't find his class at all interesting and he didn't help either. All he does is stand infront of the class and talks. No powerpoints, and barely writes stuff on the board. So it's hard to follow, and not only that the stuff he assigns he barely goes over. He makes it sound simple, but ends up grading way beyond what he expects out of you.

This teacher is so outdated. He literally sat in front of the class and spoke for ever. Never wrote anything on the board, never made power points. I would never recommend this class to anyone. He was very rude and never followed the syllabus, spoke about random things during lecture.

It depends on your style of learning, but for me, all he did was stand infront of class and talked. He rarely used powerpoints, or wrote down anything on the board. So its kinda unorganized, and quizzes are randomly assigned within the week and doesnt keep them up so you cant study/learn from mistakes. Overall, i wouldnt recommend.

Tests are hard. The book is confusing. If you take him you are better off taking notes from the lecture rather than the book. He didn't take attendance but I would go. He is a funny guy and a nice person. He tries to explain the information. Just a really hard class. Maybe try to take him in a different class..

This class was honestly the worst. In what world are there only 2 exams and they both are in the same exact month, then one more exam for the final. The book is no help, because he teaches from whatever he teaches from. The tests are too specific for you to just study from the book. The worst part is that you NEED this class if you're a psych major

What's with all the negativity? This man clearly cares for his students. It's just reflected in how he speaks to us. Lectures are long, but he is genuine and really wants to help you learn. I find this class refreshing, albeit at a more basic level than I expected! Early on in semester, but he's good. No, he doesn't follow syllabus.

That class caused me to have a near meltdown. He does not stick to guidelines, his lecture style consists of writing nothing on the board for you to remember, hates when you ask for help.. I think it's time he retires. Only plus was He gave me a B when I should of had a low C. But avoid at all costs.

Test's are completely off the cuff. Studied hard and answered all questions thinking I got an A... Ended with a D NOT CLEAR on what to expect and computer illiterate. His TA was more structured and helpful by far.

Do not take this class with him. He is a very tough grader. I'm not going to bore you with details of my experience but just don't. Please don't take him. Before him I had a Psych GPA of 3.87. After him, I had a Psych GPA of 3.5. Literally, the toughest professor I have ever had.

I have only had him for clinical psychology lab. It is a very open ended course. The grade is mostly based off of 1 huge semester research project of your choosing. A much smaller portion of the grade is from attendance, homework early on, and online quizzes based on lectures and readings. Very difficult class. One or two A's out of 36 students

He's a great teacher and provides real-world examples. His tests are hard, so be prepared and read the textbook as you go through the unit because it is impossible to cram for his exams and do alright. He does to lack people skills and he seems nervous a lot of the time.
