Comment:
Dr. Lozowski knows a lot about his field but he often trails off to talk about industry work during lecture. Quizzes were based on 1 of 3 HW problems. Last test and final were close to exact problems he showed the class how to do the day before them. The "Lozowski Curve" helps the class out a lot and he can be funny at times.I

Comment:
This class was tough because of the lack of clarity during lectures. Complex concepts were regularly quickly introduced and then implemented in advanced ways. Dr. Lozowski is a fair grader though and seems to go out of his way to give partial credit.

Dr. Lozowski knows his stuff. One of the most intelligent professors at SIUE. Does'nt have a set lesson plan. Quizzes are one of 2-3 homework problems. Study for the tests from the notes and you will do fine. Class is curved in an interesting way that helps at least 60% of class, if not, more. Very approachable and explains difficult stuff clearly

I didn't understand his accent or teaching style, but I don't think anyone got less than a C and 3/4 got a B or higher.

Engineering physics is by far the right choice over regular Physics 2. Slated grading scale heavily in your favor and easy quizes every week. I got a C in regular Physics 1 and earned an A in Eng. Physics 2

Dr. Lozowski is a cool guy, but his tests are really hard, and he doesn't prepare you for them. The textbook is nearly useless, because of all the wrong answers. If you take the class a second time, you can get a good grade, but if it's your first time, beware: You'll probably fail it or have to withdraw from it and have to take it again.

Comment:
It seems as though most people who took his class are afraid to be honest about Dr Lozowski's teaching skills. Well I am not afraid. As a teacher he is terrible. Yes he knows a lot about EE, but his knowledge is not at question. We are evaluating his conveyence of that knowledge to others. He forgot that his students are not his colleagues.

Dr. Lozowski is very intelligent, but his lectures often do not focus in the most important material, and he often speaks over the heads of most of the people in class. He is a difficult tester.

He was my first professor at SIUE. He is a real good guy. If you are sincere towards your work, he will really help you. He is always approachable. He is one of the smartest guy in EE department. He gives lot of work for a graduate student, as others give less, but I feel it is not too much.

He is incredibly intelligent, but can not teach in the least bit. He makes his tests as hard as possible and only makes them worth 8 points. By the way he gives no partial credit so it's not uncommon to get a 25% on one of his tests.

extremely smart, perhaps too smart. sometimes he doesn't understand that we can not build analog circuits like him. tests are pretty hard and labs take forever.
