He is a great teacher! Does not have students give speeches or write papers and tests are generally easy. Small amount of studying required and he is happy to meet students outside of class to help. Definitely take his class!

He's a nice man, but I do not recommend him for 300+ level courses. I had him for both 301 and 302 and I think my French actually regressed. There wasn't any structure in the class and he would often stop speaking French and tell stories in English.

Excellent command of language and ability to teach it too. Makes you work everyday. Checks to see if you do you daily assignments. He is definitely worth it!

he is always willing to meet with you outside of class. however, sometimes he caters to those who do not plan to continue in more advanced french. he is concerned about everyone doing well in the class, and not necessarily with people looking to actually communicate in french. relies on book exercises/tests. he doesn't like people who skip class.
