Her classes were always fun. I learned a lot about how to manage a classroom well. She did a great job with modifying practicum once COVID-19 ruined our in-person practicum. She is really sweet, and always makes herself available if you need her.

April Flood is my favorite professor at EIU! I actually didn't mind going to her class. She is funny and the students get a chance to participate in class. If you get the chance to take her, do it. (plus she is hilarious)

Very long and drawn out in explanations, which were normally unnecessary. Boring. Does not explain expectations until after the fact and often times does not make much sense. A lot of busy work and tedium throughout the entire course.

Very teacher centered. Lecture mainly consisted of her explaining all the cool things she got to do during conferences, without explaining how we could do those things as well. Refused to give us a rubric or a checklist for the reading strategy lesson plan (worth 50 points). Did not explain objectives for any assignment. Took forever to grade!

I love her class! She is an awesome teacher, funny and gets you going at 8am in the morning. She is an easy grader, understands when unexspected things happen and you have to miss class or need an extension or if you forget something. She has a great personality and does very good with block students! Definatly take her!

Such an easy class. She gets off track and sometimes a whole class period goes by with absolutely nothing getting done, but basically guaranteed easy A. She drove me crazy because I am an organized, structured type of person, so I hated the total lack of organization in the class...but it was easy and sometimes interesting.

This is hillarious... number one she does NOT have a speech impediment at all... nor is she unpleasent to look at. One of my favorite professors. Has a true passion for what she teaches and makes sure everyone understands, very knowledgeable, and a kind heart which is hard to find in professors on this campus. Come to class and you'll be fine!

Great class and teacher. After a few days you want to go to class. Tests and Quizzes are online (easy). Lots of easy extra credit opportunities. She is very down to earth and knows how to make everyone laugh even when talking about bad topics. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND April Flood for all of your education classes.
