I have been so incredibly unhappy with this course. Not only is Barb awful at getting things back in a decent amount of time, she's rude. Trying to communicate over email has been painful. She says you need to do something but doesn't give actual constructive criticism. I hope I never have to take a course with her again.

Not sure how she is the chair of the department. Sent her an e-mail to ask a question about the course, received a very rude and disrespectful response. She also does not mark assignments on time, almost half way through the semester and not one assignment or discussion is marked yet.

Barb is a great teacher and I find it easy to learn, as she takes all sides of the subject. However, be forewarned it will be at least 2 weeks before she hands anything back, tests included. Can get frustrating at times.

Overal she is a great teacher and demonstrates wide knowledge of the subjects she teaches. She does not put up with sh*t but will help you when you need it. Most class's she reads out of the text but you can miss a day and still catch up. She tries to lighten the load at test time by giving you a detailed review. Shes awesome!

Barb is an excellent instructor and she knows her stuff well.She seems to favor corrections students over policing ones though.As a corrections student though,I was always happy to have Barb.She is fair and is always there to help.Just don't ****her off!
