I took History of Modern Africa in the fall of 2009. His lectures were rambling and difficult to follow. I gave up trying to take notes after the second week.

He's awful. He makes no sense in his lectures, doesnt follow a syllabus or the textbook, has no organization of thought or presentation of material. He's ancient old, speaks in a monotone voice, and is just a total dunce. I learned absolutely nothing from this course, but on the flip side there were only 3 assignment the entire semester:all essays.

Has a tendency to go off on unrelated tangents... but you are still responsible for knowing what he MEANT to say. Tends towards the bitter old man stereotype. Seriously wish I didn't have to take this class.

He is boring. His lectures seem to have no direction. He focuses on his area of interest (which happens to be financial history) and gives little direction at what he wants in assignments.
