Comment:

Prof Ernest is really nice. There are weekly labs, but it is possible to get an extension if you talk to her. Her tests are not too hard if you study the notes ahead of time. She frequently updates blackboard which is helpful, and she is always willing to talk to you about any questions you have. Taking her again for 120!

Comment:

Professor Ernest was good, but her tests and lectures were completely useless. I did excellent on the labs and projects (solid A's), but I had to teach everything myself. Her lectures are very bland, and her tests are so poorly worded, only she understands what she wrote. I ended up with 100 on classwork, but because of poor test grades I got a D.

The class was very time consuming and often dependent on group participation. There is a lot of busy work outside of class but overall a pretty fun one. The lectures were pretty boring, and only mattered for the tests which were definition based from the notes. She won't let one bad group project grade ruin your overall grade.

Dont buy the books(90% C++) 1st-4th weeksome excel, Matlab(computer math), & solidWorks(CADD). 5th-end only C++ programming Hardest final I have ever taken!(worth 35% of course) I had a 95% the entire semester then took the final & landed a B. Online students must take the written final on campus. 4 full programs and 16 partials in two hours.

Awesome, if you have to take a math clas take it with her, she explains everything from 0, she gives you extra points on your test just for showing up for the review, flexible and helps you succeed. Loved her class!!!

I am sorry to say this professor makes your brain forget even the things you knew before taking the class. Very confusing when she tries to explain subject, makes it hard to follow and understand. In the hybrid course she sends some notes that are supposed o help with the understanding of the textbook, that don't really work. I'd not take her again

I had Professor Ernest for Math 99, and because of her, I now really love math. She made it so that I understand math on a whole new level. If you are taking math 99, definitely take it with her. The only problem with taking math with her is that you will always compare your future math professors to her, because nobody is as amazing as she is!

This class was one of my favorite that I've taken. If I can get her for any other classes, then I will. There was a lot of work involved but it doesn't go w/o recognition; you'll get tested in front of the class on your projects. she is an awesome woman and good to look at too. She'll work with you if you ask for help.

I took her class online, if you do the work the class is super easy. If you email her she will explain if you don't understand it. There are two parts to her test a multiple choice online and a written part, that you print out and email, fax or hand into her.

Only used the solid works book because of work in the book. Never any of the other books. Labs were fun but there is one every week. She is very flexible with due dates except projects. Project documentation is very poor and leaves a lot to be assumed. Does not provide sample answers for programming leaving you guessing if you got it right.

I took tools and engineering design with her Prof Ernest. Although she does assign quite a bit of work, it is only to get you prepared for the next level. Fun/interssting classes. Recommend 100%

I had her for tools and took her again for eng. design. She was very helpful to me as a freshman by taking a decent amount of class time to advise us about college. She is very lenient with deadlines except for major projects. Take her if you can, the other options aren't that great.
