There are only three grades in the class and those are the three exams. If you fail one, you better hope you pass the others. There are no other assignments. For 98% of the time, she stands at a podium and talks. Just talks. Doesn't write anything on the board, has no slideshows, no written examples. Nothing. She doesn't know how to teach.

Comment:

Very knowledgeable professor. It's best to take her if you're dedicated to Political Science. Her lectures range from dull to interesting--most students find them dull. She can intimidate/bore you in the classroom if you're taking her for an elective, but going to her office is extremely rewarding. I can't praise her office manner more highly.

Had no textbook which was nice. She put like a million things up on courseweb to read so it was impossible to read them all. Horrible with technology!! MUST GO TO CLASS. gives an in class assignment or quiz almost each day that accounts for 5 points. Says there are no tests but there are 2 in class essays which are basically a test!

You need to have some understanding of Civics. If not, be prepared. Lectures are definitely all over the place, and test questions can range from obvious to WTF did I learn this? Be there, ask questions when you are unsure, and participate and you can pass

Dr. Gaddy seems very cold and uninterested in wether or not her students pass or not. This MIGHT be true, but hard work pays off here. She KNOWS who comes to EVERY single class and really puts effort in. Quizzes R 6 short 25 ques. most of the students had inconsistant grades. F, B, D then a C. Test ?'s TOO intricate and details not discussed

Dr. Gaddy is a wonderful professor who cares deeply for her students and is concerned about their well-being. She is the most knowledgeable and laid back professor at UPG. She has made college a great experience. Best poly sci professor at UPG!

Do NOT Take ANY class with Dr. Gaddy! Absolutely the most inept professor this campus offers. How I managed to score a perfect on one of the exams and fail the other two are beside me. I took AP World Politics in High School as well AP European History and Aced both classes and passed both AP exams. I am not a slacker!!

This class is really awful. I take notes in class, read the text, and take notes, but I'm still barely getting by. I did have prior interest and knowledge on politics but this class is just terrible. Don't take it if you don't need to. She can be hard to understand also. Just beware of this class...

AWFUL! Powerpoints don't always line up with info in the book, which makes studying difficult. Tests questions are difficult and ask for specific details not discussed in class. The texts are excruciating to read. This class is a nightmare. Do not take this professor.

Dr. Gaddy has taught me exactly what I've wanted to learn. A lot of people complain about this class because they do not understand politics, it's not Dr. Gaddy, it's them. Shes easy, and you don't even need to read what is in the text books. I haven't and I received a B+ in her class. She always sends you her power-points, and is available 24/7.

If you keep up with the reading and can participate in discussion, this class is not hard. Essay tests usually have one wide open question. Some of the texts were a bit difficult, but not insurmountable. No mandatory attendance, but participation is part of grade. If you want to be spoon fed info instead of thinking, pick a different prof.

the worst teacher ever! she is so unclear and has the worst accent. she mumbles and does not know her content knowledge. Instead of giving us a book she made us print like 12 page articles and we had to know everything for the quizzes the next class. She told us that she took her daughter to G 20. Avoid her unless u want 2 laugh at how much a joke

So everytime I'd email her needing help she would ignore me! After class good luck trying to talk to her she gathers her belongings as quickly as possible and has some excuse as to why she has to leave right away. Had us by 6 books for her joke of a class. Attend EVERY class or fail!! Very hard to understand, stutters and speed talks SHOULD BE FIRE

She failed me for missing "class sessions" due to an illness and because she doesn't know how to grade assignments. SMH by far the worst ever. Hope to never see her again.
