Comment:

I took the online class as an elective and was very disappointed. There were no lessons, only guidleines to read the textbook- it wasn't even updated to the edition we were supposed to have, so everything was off. No specification for the exam, it was essay questions only so you're going in completely blind. Very poorly planned for an online class.

Amazing Professor. Dr. Pianosi genuinely wants her students to succeed and do well in her courses. She also has such an incredible passion for Gerontology, and when she speaks you can hear that in her. She gives you 10% just for attending lectures! Her grading is extremely fair, if you put in the effort, she WILL reward you. 10/10 would recommend.

Nice lady, however she decided this year to use the textbook premade tests, which had nothing to do with her notes and everything to do with memorizing every stat in the textbook. Needless to say, the class was very upset. Going forward, as long as you read the textbook and memorize the stats you'll do fine in the course. Her marking is fair.

Awesome teacher! She's so nice and her class is so interesting and not hard what so ever. Show up to class or else you'll lose marks! She has great style and sometimes she is hard to understand but just ask her to repeat and she has no problem doing so! I definitely recommend this class to anyone!

Birgit was my thesis prof and prof for many courses. If you do your work, she's fair and is very open to talk about course work or even just how life is. I enjoyed taking my courses with her although I don't think her reputation of being a hard marker, etc., is deserved. Take her courses! She's cool!
