Dr. Hicks is one of the sweetest professors at Cumberland! He is always ready to help, and tries to brighten your day with a never ending supply of dad jokes. His government class is incredibly easy, he gives you all of the information you need and will always supply study guides! Such a sweet soul!

I'm in his class right now. Honestly, its a bit hard focusing on him during the 8 oclock hour. But he always tries to be funny. He is easy to understand and his tests are always what he has taught. He is a good teacher and a very smart and witty man.

I had Dr. Hicks for MANY classes (PoliSci is my degree). He is extremely intelligent and while he gets off topic, it's always funny and he'll make sure to cover the info eventually before giving a test. He is extremely fair. I think he remembers how it feels ot be a student. Has conservative leaning but stays neutral in class.

He's very nice. Always gets off topic about his bike accident or some other such non-sense. Hilarious sometimes, but his lectures are dry. Very by the book kind of teaching. Over all two thumbs up!

One of my favorite profs., I love Dr. Hicks' sense of humor. He always read Dave Barry stuff to us before class. Sometimes I was the only one laughing. I think he did a great job of being moderate in class... he didn't let his own politics interfere at all. I especially enjoyed reading and discussing All the King's Men. Oh, and I suppose he is attractive in a compact european way... and in a Mr. Bean way.

Horribly boring, I don't know how I stayed awake. He was very willing to discuss with me my athletic schedule as well as test make-ups, or answer any questions clearly and concisely. I don't think he really cared about the class a whole, but who would?

Dr, Hicks is a great professor who understands that students dont really want to be there. If you can make it past his boring babbling and understand his corrupt humor at the first of the class, you will get an A. The man is Conservative as they come and having him on your side is needed in politics

Dr. Hicks is a moderate-conservative, but I bet he is an unadulterated liberal in private. He always starts his lecture off with a monologue that makes him an instant classic. He never muddles the facts with fiction. He tells the story like it is!

Dr. Hicks is a modest and mild instructor. He is even tempered, smart, conservative, and somewhat unorginal, with a dry sense of humor. Some chicks I know look forward to his class. I guess he is kind of attractive in a compact european way.
