Butch is a great teacher, one of the best I've ever had. His lectures were always interesting, and the labs were great. Make sure you have time out of class because the homework takes a lot of time, but if you work hard in and out of class you'll learn more than enough to be successful. I highly recommend taking his classes.

-Doesn't tolerate slackers -Want to be the best, study from the best. - You'd better get it in while you can though he's getting pretty old and you won't find that much experience in a dozen books. -Has a huge heart for the working man (your test won't go away, but it will be there after work) -Don't miss a lab or your grade gets a stab.

Butch is the hardest teacher Ive ever had. He demands a lot from you which is good. You show him that your trying and that your are wanting to learn and even if you struggle he is willing to help you. His class is demanding just as job would be. Ive learned more then I thought I could. He will help set you up for success if you try Thanks butch

He is a great teacher, but Hard. He will make you work for your grade. If you miss class you will get a E. He will not pass you if he believes you are not ready. Overall he is a teacher that I respect and when you pass his class you know you truly earned it and job all around know it as well.

Butch is a smart guy that's makes learning fun. He is a guy that has actually used his knowledge in the field. He will not give you anything, he wants you to learn it and work for it. His test are tough and he expects you to show up on time every day. I respect Butch and learned a lot from him.

Amazing professor, you will work hard for your grade but Butch does this in the interest of the student. When you go to work you know you have been trained by the best. He has a world of education and experience. He will challenge you to think outside the box as well as use common sense. Great asset at SCC. Great sense of humor, makes me laugh.

Great teacher, very knowledgeable about the subject. Makes you learn without having your hand held, but very helpful at the same time. You must work for an A, but it is rewarding to get one. Truly cares about his students success in the classroom, as well as out. Makes lectures entertaining and fun for all students. Highly recommend.

Butch's classes are hard and challenging. However, Butch has away of communicating with his students that makes learning all the new material just come naturally. He will help a student if they need extra help. Butch treats everyone equal. Thanks Butch for everything you have taught me.

Intelligent,experienced in the field, and makes things pretty easy to understand. His class is not super hard but if you don't try hard and your attendance sucks he will fail you. He comes off hard at first but once you get to know him he will be one of your favorites, he is a realist, has a good sense of humor and is there to help you Succeed.

With a name like Butch you know he is gonna be a hardass. He is no joke when it comes to learning, but he wants you to learn to and will challenge you to do so. He will (jokingly) tease you when you make a boneheaded mistake and will praise you when you do well. Outstanding professor.
