Prof. Dowlah is well respected and is very educated in his field. You have to show up class and complete the assigned coursework, otherwise, you will fall too far behind. He gives quizzes that are closely related to the midterm and final exam. Study well and practice the concepts taught throughout the semester and you should be fine.

Comment:

Professor Dowlah is a really nice professor. He takes his time when lecturing and would explain each topic to capacity. He also gives a review of how to study for his exams, and homework is exactly what will be on the test. I would definitely recommend and take this professor again. NOT A TOUGH GRADER EITHER!!!

Literally the worst professor Ive ever encountered in my life. Has a horrible accent and doesnt go by his own syllabus. Shorted the syllabus to one midterm and a final and two homeworks. The most hardest homeworks ever. Google cant even help you a bit. Do yourself a huge favor and dont take his class!

Professor Dowlah is really a nice professor. He cares a lot about students. Before an exam, he would give homework of exactly what will be on the test and will also give tips on what to study. Not a tough grader either.

We all have our own opinions. I did not enjoy this professor or how he decided to teach the class. He talked the whole time and never gave any extra credit, even though it was obvious the whole class needed it. Whose fault really is it when more than half the class fails the test? With all do respect, if you want to challenge yourself, take him.

Those students who fail in the class, they always say bad things about professors. Don't listen to them. I took two classes with Prof. Dowlah--he is a nice gentleman, and if you work hard, you will get good grade. He is very, very neutral, and very very friendly.

Horrible. Study all on your own, read the book, do whatever you can to grasp the course. I can't even tell you what I've learned. I couldn't understand his lectures due to his accent.

He is a horrible professor, he doesn't give any homework so you have to show up to every class and listen to everything he says. He gets angry quick and will call cuny police to get you out the class if he feels that you disrespected him, do not try to explain things to other students while in class because he will violate you.

Prof. Dowlah is a good teacher. he expects students to understand everything in the class. I am taking Micro with him--it is hard to pass the class without atttending the class regularly. If you don't want to attend classes regualrly, try to take class with others.

Has an accent that is not understandable. Cut the syllabus short mid semester. Went from 3 exams and 3 homeworks to one exam and a final and two homeworks and raised the worth of the assignments. Makes homework extremely hard. Answers cannot be found on PowerPoint nor google. DONT TAKE THIS PROF!!

Professor Dowlah is a nice guy, but terrible professor. His lectures are so hard to understand because of his thick accent. His tests are difficult and whatever he teaches doesn't seem to be on the test. He only gives two homeworks and a midterm and final, so it is hard to pass this class. Do not take his class, it isn't worth it.
