Comment:

Even with all the course material, this was the easiest course I've ever taken. Cam makes everything clear and easy, and helps w any doubts you might have. Very easy to reach and talk to. He gives notes/handouts with blanks, and as long as you attend all his lectures and know the notes thoroughly, you'll def get an A.

Comment:

Cameron is one of the best instructors I've ever had. Exams are fair and his lectures are super clear with provided lecture notes. He really makes sure that everyone understands what he's saying in lecture. He is also very nice and approachable. Highly recommend taking a class with Cam!

Comment:

He's a "bro-type" of prof, he's especially lenient with the marking, and provides helpful support in learning the course content. However, when it comes to prepping for exams, you need to understand every little bit of detail from the notes. READ THE NOTES he gives or you won't expect to do well in the course.

Cam's amazing! Lectures are fun and engaging. He's hilarious and cracks quirky jokes out of nowhere. Silly guy, but you will definitely learn a lot from him. Very smart, knowledgeable, and has an attention to detail.

if I would have the chance to take a class with Cam, I would surely be a part of his class again. he really cares about his students. his lecture slides are really interesting and he adds some pop quizzes in between which is a good idea to prepare for the exams. the Attendence is important for any class to good in exams.

Comment:

Cam is pretty chill and sometime jokes around but the lectures could get pretty boring. His notes are fill in the blank so make sure you get those filled. The midterms are pretty straight forward but annoying how he always add 1 or 2 questions that are tiny facts. Otherwise easy to get a high grade for the lecture part. Focus study more on lab.

Great notes, great class. Very engaging and easy to follow thoughts. BUT He tells us to focus on the big picture but ends up testing us on these random tangents he goes on in class and/or tiny little facts that he briefly mentioned ONCE in class. We were tested 80% on class discussions.

He's so good! I really like him as a person and a prof. I thought his lectures were so fun and he's funny too. I wish he taught more courses. I would definitely take any class he teaches!

Great teacher. Doesn't call students to answer questions. Take his class if you are an introverted person, he will not make your participate in class room discussions. I like the way he gives out books reference such as the Ancestor's Tale and Jaw.

Best instructor I had so far! Really interesting lectures and examples, funny, and really accessible. Exams and quizzes are 100% on the lecture slides, if you study you will do well. I wish he would teach more courses.

Cam is an amazing instructor. His classes are very interesting and informative. He posts his lecture slides on D2L BUT they have blanks on them, meaning that you have to attend in order to pass. His tests are based on the notes and the extra info he says in lectures. He is a fair marker. Exams are hard, but they are feasible if you studied.

Best prof ever. He's super chill & hilarious. He makes class fun. You learn SO much in his class and it goes by very quickly. Exams aren't too hard either. He makes everything very clear. Cam has a good heart :)

Cam is by far the best prof I have ever have, and this is including the two years I have spent at SFU. A lot of the questions on his exams come from the lectures. The material isn't that difficult if you pay attention in class you have the capability to do well.

Loves his subject and knows a lot about it. Passionate about birds! Lectures are based on PP presentations but they are still fun and pretty easy to follow. You gotta love bio to pass his course easily. Otherwise prepare to study the notes a lot.

Cam is a great professor with a great personality and sense of humour. He is very personable and easy to talk to, and conversational in his teaching which makes the material accessible and engaging. I would take his class again right there.

Solid background knowledge. Clear lectures. Bonus marks on exams. Clear on big ideas. Speaks quite quickly because of heavy lecture load. Detailed questions on midterms.
