Comment:

Prof Galloway is awesome! He is very clear in his lectures and does lots of practice problems that prepare you well for tests. He gives a good review before each test. He is also very helpful outside of class. I have him for Cal 1 and 2, and he prepared me so well for 3. Homework is optional, but do it if you want an A. Hard class, but doable.

Comment:

Okay so here's the deal, the class was extremely difficult and required a lot of investment to do well on. Professor Galloway pushes his students but only because he cares about his students and is passionate about math. If you really want to learn calculus and become really good at it, then take it. If you just want a grade, there is other options

Comment:

Overall, he's a pretty straightforward math instructor. Whenever I had problems, he can go over what I had difficulty on. He always help out other students when they have problems on either their homework, labs, and exams. He also gave the students a reminder about what's coming up and how to be prepared for the upcoming tests.

Knowledgable professor, but the class itself is too hard for us to not have any curves or extra credit. Test averages were in the 30s-50s, NO CURVE. He'll help you if you go to him, but he also says most of his students retake the class at least once.

This class was difficult, but the professor was very straightforward. He is kind of hard to hear but he goes over the material a lot of times, so you can understand it.

Galloway is great at simplifying what the questions ask for, which makes understanding the subject a whole lot easier. He is available during office hours and always happy to help. His exams are right from class examples and some homework examples as well. He gives a review prior to the exam stating what kinds of questions to expect on the test.

Comment:

Four exams, a final, and a "lab" (worksheets) grade. The class was not easy but the final replaced the lowest test score so you get a shot at redemption. Doing homework and attending lecture were really important. But now I'm considering a math major! Taking calc 2 with him. Only issue with him is he's kinda intimidating and has high expectations.

3rd class I've taken with him. Amazing prof! If you want to understand the math and not just memorize it, take him! If you just need the credit but want an A, take him, he gives lots of chances for extra credit. He is so passionate about math and the history of math he really inspires you.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Took him for trig and enjoyed as well. Good grader, knows his stuff inside and out, explains concepts clearly and logically. The class is not easy but it's not impossibly difficult. He makes you work for an A. If you really want to understand the math (or need it for Cal 2), I highly recommend.

Very Difficult. He often says, "This is very straight forward," or "We don't have enough class time to talk about this, so I'm going to skip it." I'm taking the class to understand, but he goes way too fast and I cannot keep up. Only take him if you are already familiar with the material. He just assumes you know everything. Very difficult.

Professor Galloway is a shining example of what a professor should be. Friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, you can tell he enjoys teaching and helping his students. Prof. Galloway is excellent. He tells you throughout the lecture if something is going to be on the test. he will say you can expect something like this on the test he is not joking. Do a majority of the homework and take good notes ALWAYS copy down his examples that he puts on the board and study them for test.

Prof. Galloway is amazing! I had him for trig and again for calc 1. He is very clear with his material and if you need any help, just ask! His tests are EXACTLY like the examples he gives in class and the assigned homework, however he does not give reviews. Highly recommend to take from him!!

Prof Galloway was terrific. Gave lots of examples & solved them on the board in great detail... perfect for me since I haven't had math for 25 yrs. His assessment test ranked me w/ a low chance of succeeding but ended up making an A. It wasn't easy; I spent a ton of time studying but it paid off. Honors had no hmwk, 7 labs, a paper w/ presentation.

Excellent math teacher. Probably among the best. If you do the homework assignments, labs, and understand examples you will get an A. If you don't you will fail. It's simple. His examples are very in depth, he does brief reviews of important concepts and he doesn't skip tons of steps. If someone has a question he will help them. Good office hours.

Comment:

Great Professor. Took him for Trigonometry - wish I took him for algebra as well. Very clear, very logical, very helpful. He's even funny sometimes. He doesn't use online homework, which is a huge bonus, all the grade comes from 5 major exams. Final can replace lowest. Take notes, *do not* fall behind. He's fantastic.
