This class was satisfying and frustrating all at once. A mixture of my doubtful nature and his somewhat unclear guidelines made for a very tiring semester. However his intentions always came from the right place. I truly believe that Mr. Cox just wanted me to be the best writer I could be and I know he believed in me, for that I am thankful.

I really dislike Mr. Cox. He is extremely arrogant and is never understanding when something comes up. Don't ask for help because he will just make you feel stupid like you should have known. Very full of himself. I'm glad I never have to take one of his courses again.

Chris had a great deal of knowledge about film. We did very little discussion about film in general, but rather focused on individual feature films with a nice mix of types. A paper per day (one for each film) and two 5 or 6 page papers over 5 weeks seemed like a lot of writing, but my college experience is limited.

Laid back, humorous, and splendidly intelligent. If you come in with an open mind to literature, you will be right at home. Grades more on effort than little details. Enrolling in his creative writing class is one of the best times you can have at the school, they are a truly wise cracking and social party.

Compared to the other choices (stay away from most)he is GREAT! I have had 4 ENG prof at SCC, he is the best. Laid back, easy, light work load. His papers are long, but we only did 3 and had NO test. Very approachable & understanding. His classes are actually fun. Wish I had taken him for ALL my ENG classes. I would take him again for sure.
