Hard class if you don't read. Lots of reading required. He doesnt really give you a heads up on what to know for tests. not very clear on what he wants with papers. lectures are extremely dull.I wouldnt take this class again if I had a choice.

This was a really interesting class with not a lot of outside work required besides lengthy readings. As long as you participated at least once per class, you were good to go. Papers were fairly graded.

As long as you keep up with the readings and contribute once per class to the discussion, you're set in regards to participation. Since there wasn't an exam - only a final research paper - I would easily take the class again. However, pay attention: it's not like you're going to get reminders about the research paper and it's worth a decent amount.

He makes history really interesting as if it a crazy story to tell instead of blurting out facts like other professors at MU. You don't have to read the info book but DEFINITELY buy the source book and make sure you read from that. Also, PARTICIPATE. it doesn't matter what you say just as long as you say something. Eye candy? yes me thinks :P

Honors class isn't difficult as I thought it would be. Could skip most readings. Don't get me wrong, he is a very passionate and knowledgeable teacher when it comes to Early European History. However, his attitude made the class more difficult than it needs to be. He is arrogant and thinks way too highly of himself. I'm never taking another class!

i liked dr snyder a lot, although he seems kind of quiet sometimes, he is so smart and knows A LOT. he is a very friendly person as well. PARTICIPATE!!! definately look forward to one of his classes.

Easiness has an impact on the teacher's quality. If you learn a lot and do well , then the prof. is excellent. Dr. Snyder's tests are pointless. His lectures are long, and he doesn't hint at what the tests will cover. Rather than worry about historical patterns, his tests center on trivia.
