Professor Keith cares a lot about French culture. Throughout the semester, she's assigned 4 papers, all less than 5 pages. No in-class tests or quizzes until final. Final is alright, just make sure you study. Not the most fun class, but surely not a bad one.

Comment:

I've had Claire for four years now. She is indeed opinionated and even a little pushy, but she sincerely has her students' interests in mind. She is super sweet, knowledgeable, committed, worldly, and a precious French woman. I've completed my French major with her, and have gone so far as to continue to take class with her through Global Studies.

I love her! She's very passionate about the subjects she teaches, and gives very easy homework. She outlines exactly what will be on each test, so if you follow that you'll easily get an A. She's also a very easy grader!

Great teacher, she got me interested in doing the french major, very eager to discuss topics with students, and she brings in a lot of outside material like movies and news reports to make the class interesting. Homework is easy and the tests are all open book including the final.

She was horrible to me. She does not understand about students outside of the classroom, and does not care about her students as people. She is opinionated and very French, and therefore if you do not agree with her you are both wrong and a lesser person. I dropped my French minor because of her.

Very opinionated. Keeps class an open discussion but if you don't agree with her then youre wrong. Unforunately she is the only teacher for this class. Too much unnecessary busy work that doesn't offer much. She only wants to hear your opinion if it agrees with hers. Not as nice as she seems

Professor Keith is extremely nice and is truly excited about the subject. She asked me to come to her office hours to look at my degree audit and helped me for over an hour and she isn't even my advisor! My only complaint is that she tends to go over class time by 5-10 minutes. Other than that she's awesome!

So interesting, a really fun class to take. ALOT of reading and alot of busy work but all very easy. Tests are open book but usually require alot of deep answers. Learned so much in this class and she is an amazing teacher

Very intelligent lady. She likes to give a lot of readings so be prepared for that. She cares a lot about her students and will give her all to help you out if you need it and she is fairly lenient with due dates. She likes class participation and will call on you if you don't volunteer.

Such a nice teacher and easy grader. I handed in a paper like 2 weeks after it was due and still got a good grade. This class will make you want to look into french more. Take this teacher!

Sure, it's a lot of work and readings, but it's a great class. She makes you look at the world completely differently, and has cool research assignements and video clips. Plus, she brings things from places she has been, and you want to pack you bag and go traveling forever! TAKE HER!

this class is just a lot of busy work. Don't take if you are looking for an easy 100 level class because there is too much work. tests are open book , lots of reading for homework. You'll find yourself asking why you even thought of taking this class

A little scatter-brained, but very nice. Tests can be hard, but she really wants you to succeed and so it isn't hard to make up for your test grade in other ways. Lets you make up quizzes if you are absent, papers can be handed in late with no penalty. Take her! :)

Sweetest lady and great teacher. Tests can be a little hard but there are other ways to get good grades that make up for it, shouldn't have a problem doing well in her class. If you never learned french orally it might be a little hard, but she'll help

great teacher, great person...fun classes, easy tests...her 'jumpiness' from topic to topic is fun and breaks up the monotony of studying grammar and french history! highly recommend!
