Dr. Wade is very helpful if you go to him. Accounting 201/202 with him were a breeze, but Accounting 303 is crazy hard. His tests are very difficult unless you study your life away. Just make sure you are ready to think conceptually for this class!

He is EXTREMELY helpful and very student-oriented. If you ask for assistance or get stuck at any point, he will go out of his way to get you back on track. Five-star professor!

Comment:

Dr. Wade is a good teacher, but this is still a very hard class. There is online homework due every week, it isn't easy but Dr. Wade is always willing to help you get the points. The tests tended to be different than the problems we practiced, which was my main complaint. Dr. Wade's lectures are very dry, but of course most accounting classes are.

This was the worst class I have ever taken at USI. He is ridiculous! The exams are absolutely impossible. This course really does not have to be that difficult. Most of the class failed every exam, and there were not enough homework points to boost your grade. I suggest taking this class with another professor!

Comment:

Best accounting teacher at USI so far. He does challenge you and uses questions that you would see on a CPA exam but this is a weed out class. Some people just can't handle it. He does everything he can to help you without actually giving you the answers. Even sends out a weekly email to tell you what to do for the week.

Very well organized.Study guides very helpfull.Never went to his office, more than basics got them during class. Homework online.I had 5 accounting professors over this summer, and I like him the most.

The class started out all right but the second test he hit you. I drew a blank looking at the test; it was rediculous. How anybody could come up with such difficult questions. Tax is easy but he made it very difficult; I don't feel like I learned anything in his class. It was like he got something out of you not understanding it.

Dr. Wade is one of my favorite professor at USI. He knows what he's talking about and is extremely helpful outside of class... especially through email. I've had for 3 different classes, none were easy, but I came away learning A LOT. Just go into his classes knowing you can't be lazy and you'll do fine. He's very fair when it comes to grading.

Hardest class I've ever taken. This is supposed to be an intro class and he made it near impossible. Test are insanely hard. Unless you have no life outside of school then I wouldn't take this class. He is a cool guy though...I'll give him that.

This guy is not a very good professor. The material is not that difficult, however, I don't think that Dr. Wade does a good job teaching it. Although, he is willing to help outside of class but only has office hours two days a weak. He checks his email frequently.

They said that intermediate acct was the toughest, I disagree. This class is tough! Dr Wade does what he can to help raise the grade, used a curve on all the test and let us use our final grade to replace a previous test if it was better. Okay teacher.

I'd recommend taking the class if you are an accounting major. He is an extremely nice guy, but is very tough. If you can get through Dr. Wade's class with an A or a B, you can definately go on to a higher accounting level.

Hard class no matter who you have. Many have had to retake it, including me. Don't try to cheat on any projects with this guy. He is very good at catching cheaters. Approach this class with extreme caution. He's about an average teacher i guess.

Dr. Wade is a tough teacher because he wants you to succeed. But once you get to know him he's a really great person & will help you in whatever you need whether it be in class, carreer, or in degree choices.
