Challenging! Rambling prof. but somewhat interesting. Grade came from in-class short tests (vocab) but were hard to pass b/c of the words he chose and the answer he wanted. Christianity essays were confusing, and the 40% final paper was badly timing. don't recommend, but I think he left anyway.

Lectures are boring and he grades ridiculously hard. Somewhat helpful during office hours but is too general when he explains what would be on the test, while the tests are too specific.

A brilliant man who has a terrible grading rubric. 60% of our grade came at the last three weeks of the semester; a 3 essay questions exam on Christianity and a 5-7 page paper worth 40% of our grade, where we were only given the topic four days before it was due! The readings did not help me understand the material, so I stopped keeping up.

Not a very interesting professor, but not unfair. Going to class is a must, but the reading is unnecessary for the most part. Tests are easy as long as you use the exact same phrasing as he uses in lecture.

Teacher is extremely hard on grading. There are 5 vocab quizzes that seem impossible to get above 80% on (even with hours of studying). The 1 exam on Christianity was essay format, and was brutal. Final take home is 6 page essay handed out less than 4 days before its due. If you want to learn about religion, buy the book but DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!

Class was a 400 level and felt like a 600 level, hard grader, writing was impossible to read and he likes to write on the chalkboard. Class was very boring and class always ran over the time limit

Awesome class. I learned way more than anything in my major class. It is COLLEGE after all, and a lot of folks here don't know that. Do the reading and it's not that hard to get a B or higher. The guy is brilliant!

He is very dry and boring. Excessive amounts of reading, expect a lot of homework reading-wise. Attendance mandatory and excruciating. Quizzes/exams very difficult and is very picky when grading.

True, he is very hyper and pompous; he ruins what could be a great class by demanding persnickity guidelines and making the class buy hundreds of dollars of notes from a printshop! He does warn the class on the first day, and instead of heeding the warning and our instincts, many of us foolishly stayed in the class. RUN AWAY FROM THIS TEACHER!

He's outrageously frightening the first day as he explains how difficult his class will be, but he's great anyways. For anyone interested in religion, this is the class to take. Very interesting discussions and reading. This is one of those classes where you learn that everything you thought you knew before is wrong. Question everything. fantastic!

Perhaps the most pretentious professor I have ever had. Bad dresser (Bill Cosby sweaters ). You will not get an A, he will even tell you so. Drop his class immediately!

Bright and insightful, but demanding. Expect a 500 level course to have between 30 and 80 pages of reading every night. Very difficult to get an "A" on anything. Writing intensive. Reccomended only for top notch students. Office hours by app. on
