Ill say im often left scratching my head in class but its not anything youtube cant fix. he works incredibly fast so pay attention or youll be lost quickly. an A is an 80, tests posted before, he doesnt give hard questions, class goes by quickly given you take notes. take the class.

Worst professor/teacher ive ever had. He never explains anything, doesnt answer questions, has unbelievably bad handwriting, uses outdated teaching methods, and just doesnt know how to teach. He just stands at the board doing math problems. He will say what he is doing, but not how or why. If you take his class you WILL fail.

If you do not have Calculus experience, or are otherwise not good at math, do not take Dr. Kinsey. He knows the material very well, but he is extremely bad at teaching it. Lectures are very fast paced and tests are relatively hard due to the minimal you learn in class.

Kinsey is a nice guy but overall does not teach the lessons. He does "practice" problems the whole class but doesn't explain what he's doing. If you struggle teaching yourself or going elsewhere for help, don't take him. If you are good at Calc or previously taken it, you may be okay. I recommend finding a buddy to study with:) Goodluck!

If you have not had any previous calc experience, don't take Kinsey. He knows what he's doing, but he doesn't do a good job of explaining it. If you have had calc before (like myself), then take him. His grading scale is 80-100 A so it'll be an easy A. There is a HW assignment every night, but they only take 10 minutes max

The class is not that hard if you try. He does not do the best job of teaching the material, but he gives you the layout of every test, just with different numbers. The class is out of 500 points, but if you just get 400 you get an A. He also grades homework for correctness every day.

Ok so Dr. Kinsey isn't near as bad as everyone makes him out to be. He may not be the easiest to follow but he does have one great thing! He posts the EXACT Exams on blackboard just with different numbers. This is so helpful, no surprises! Also if your grade on the final is better than one of your other exam scores, you final grade will replace it.

He is impossible to understand, but gives you copies of previous tests to help you prepare. They are almost identical and that's the only reason I have a good grade. As far as him teaching, forget it. I had to learn everything from the guys in academic skills. Take him if you suck at math, take his class and memorize previous tests and you'll pass.

I have always liked math and always thought it was rather easy...that was until this class. Not vey good at explaining things and will explain things you don't need to know and then say "but we aren't going there." Overall, do not take this professor unless you want to teach yourself the entire course.

He starts to give examples and then gets side tracked and starts to talk about something else all together. Very hard!! Does not teach any of the concepts at all! you must teach yourself or go to academic skills to learn the material. only good thing about this class is a curved grading scale.

Don't listen to people. He changes the pre test to where studying it is useless. I've gone to academic skills, studied for 8 hours a night, and have done all the homework, and still failed tests. I've had OTHER MATH PROFESSORS get stumped on his test. Why is he allowed to teach? In his favor he DOES use a curved grading scale so a 60% is a 'C.'

He makes a good effort and only requires a few key problems for homework. Also he gives out practice tests that were based off last semester tests. If you do the homework and practice tests it will help. For brief calculus I heard Townsend is better though. Homework counts for 20% of the grade which helps.

Worst professor I have ever had in math. Be ready to drop this class if you are in it. I went to class, used Academic Skills and tried teaching myself, and still, nothing. The only grades are tests and maybe a few quizes, which are so random you have no idea what is going on. The prestest does not help, and neither does he.

Sincerely one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Ever. His lecture style does not fit a 400-level math course. We're here to learn about math! Not about his rambling stories that may or may not have anything relating to the world as we know it.

Probably the smartest guy I have ever met, just can't communicate well with the students. Nice guy, just not a good teacher. He is retiring now so it doesn't really matter.
