Ceramics is now an interest of mine because of the professor. David is very patient and friendly, as well as passionate about his work. Highly recommend, but you will need some time in the studio outside of class to work on projects, and attendance is graded, so think about that if you are taking academic courses.

Dave is a very dedicated and talented potter. He will give unlimited time and energy to those with respect and an honest desire to learn. An intelligent, patient, and thoughtful teacher. You must devote much time outside of class to complete the artistic requirements though, so consider that if you have a heavy course load!

Dave is one of the most patient teachers I've ever met. If you really want to do well, he will go above and beyond to help you make your project as fabulous as you can make it. This course is like all other art classes, and you will need to spend at least as much time outside of class as in class to finish the projects and get a good mark.

Found Dave frustrating and annoying to listen to. Does not command class attention or utilize time properly. Expects students to spend personal time in studio, even when they have other classes they need to attend. Found that this class did not work with taking other academic courses.

Amazing teacher. He is super helpful, and wants you to do well. The class is fun, but he does tend to talk quietly and for a while during demos. He marks a little hard, but its still a great GPA booster if you do all your projects and attend class.

He is a great teacher. Very helpful during class. Most projects are not due until end of semester, so you can take your time. Overall class is fun and interesting and you get to make many different kinds of things. Also, you don't need to be an artist to join this class. I wasn't and I ended up with a B:)
