Not a hard professor, just a lot of work. He's point based and you get points just for showing up. If you do your work, even if you miss a couple assignments, there's no way you shouldn't pass.

Comment:

He's a very nice person. The class is point based and you are given more assignments than necessary to get an A so if you miss a few its fine. Volunteering is a big part of this class so make sure you'll be able to get time in a classroom before you take it. He gives a lot of work but he's an easy grader and the work isn't hard.

Comment:

I had Stoloff for FYI 100 and EDU 110 during my first semester at ECSU. We used a free online textbook for a few easy assignments. Classes were thought-provoking but easy and relaxed, with a lot of group discussion. Class was sometimes a little boring, but boring is much better than stressful. I would highly recommend any class taught by Stoloff

This class is so easy. Attendance and participation are really important, because you get points just for being there. Show up and you'll pass. There are no tests and he basically just talks about random things the whole class. Sometimes it's interesting, sometimes it's not, but either way, at least it's easy.

He does not believe in tests or quizzes and does not take away points for attending class. All the work is done outside of the classroom and he basically lectures the entire time on unimportant things. Easy A if you do the assignments on time.

He's a really great guy, who is always on your side. His classes are 100% informative of what you will be doing in the real world, and he always makes sure you are all on the same page. He is really flexible in the assignments, so you can research the parts of education that interest and relate to you the most. You get an A for effort guaranteed.

Dr. Stoloff is a great professor with a great deal of in-depth real world knowledge of past and current practices in education. Easy to work with, will go the extra mile for you, and allows for excellent discussion in the classroom. He is willing to work with you in and out of class for any additional help or advising. He is the best!!!

Such a great teacher. He is honest, and although he gives you a lot of work (online) he allows you to form the assignment to what you want to get out of it, or a topic you like better. Very easy to get along with, he is really easy going and easy grader. Will definitely take more classes with him!

Dr Stoloff did not make me feel stupid when he realized my technology skills were lacking. He spent the time to help me with the product. I love this professor. Lots of work in a short time, but well worth it. I would take anything with Dr Stoloff as he gives explicit expectations and feedback. Hard class that was a joy to take.

Dr. Stoloff is a great professor; course is an Easy A. About 2 assignments a week, which is a lot but compared to a lecture class, I would say not too bad. No tests. Discussion threads allow for communication between students. Willing to go out of his way to help, and expand learning. Would take course again. Buy required book. Clear cut grading.

He's an awesome teacher! All the assignments are due online. You dont hand anything in on paper. It's easy to get an A if you do all your work. He is very understanding if an assignment was done incorrectly or handed in late he gives you a chance to redue assignments. HE IS A SUPER NICE GUY!
