Comment:

Debbie is the kindest lady you will ever meet. She only wants to help students succeed, and she will do everything to help you succeed inside and outside the classroom. This class was very enjoyable and not too difficult. There are 2 main group projects (and a fantasy football draft if you take the class in the fall). No tests/quizzes at all.

Comment:

Debbie is really nice. She will get to know you and learn your name if you go to class. The class itself is designed very poorly but that isn't her fault as it is a departmental class. With BUSCOM you are not going to have fun but having Debbie will not make it as bad as it could be. Almost wish I could have her for a different class.

Comment:

Debbie is an incredibly sweet person and obviously cares about her students. She conveys the material as well as could be expected, and she is a fair grader. It takes awhile to find out what you got on assignments, but that's hardly a downside considering the experience you get inside the classroom.

Deb is such a nice lady. She cares so much for her students and she wants everyone to do well. However, she is very unorganized and takes forever to grade negotiations and post-mortems. Deb is so smart and I wish she lectured more. The negotiations are fun but I learned nothing from the article presentations. I want to learn from profs not students

Deb Good is one of the kindest, most genuine professors I've had at Pitt. She gives excellent feedback on all of the papers, and only assigns what is mandatory by the course outline. I would 100% recommend her for this course, especially compared to your other options.

Very nice person, but not the best teacher. I'll say I don't trust her grading. Two semesters in a row my group was told we were the best presentation/content by PNC reps for the class project. Both times Debbie then gave us mediocre B+ grades, yet pushes you to become prepared for the real world every class. She should change grading percentage

Debbie is one of the BEST at Pitt. Do not miss an opportunity to take any class with her. She truly cares about all of her students and wants you to succeed, as long as you put the work in for her. She also writes bomb recommendation letters and helped me get my first job before graduation. Seriously, she's amazing.

Debbie is SUCH a great teacher. She is very helpful, and assignments are easy. Even though there are easy, there are a lot of them. This class as more work than I anticipated for Bus Comm. But still, great professor. Take her for all your classes and you will be golden.

Overall good professor. She is very nice and you can tell she cares about the students. She can be long winded when explaining assignments and there is a lot of work for this class. Grading is tough because points get taken off for every formatting error, typo, or grammar mistake. Just make sure you follow her guidelines for the assignments.

Comment:

Prof Good is a very nice lady and an engaging lecturer. Her tests can be a bit difficult, but she is understanding and willing to give points back if you provide a good argument. She is also pretty tough on the papers, but provides thorough feedback and really wants you to improve. Would definitely take another course of hers!

I would take Debbie for every class is I could. Her classes are far from an easy A. I had more assignments in her classes than any other class, however I did not mind doing them because she is a fair grader and the assignments are relevant.

Debbie Good makes the best out of a bad class. It should be required to take as a freshman, but most of the students end up being juniors and seniors. The class has very strict grading policies, but Debbie seems to be less strict than the other professors teaching this class. Take her.

You're not going to enjoy BusComm but you have to take it so you should take Debbie. She's still strict on grading like the others but definitely less so. You will get bad grades in class but that only matters if your bad grade is way below the average. Overall, she's super friendly and your best pick for the class! I'd recommend her for any class.

Class is completely common sense yet somehow she manages to have a regular grade spread. Textbook is barely used but thankfully you can purchase older versions for as little as $20. Pretty easy overall however she is one of those teachers who takes forever to grade papers/projects. Whatever return date she gives you, just add 1-2 weeks.

Professor Good is Awesome! I have her for HRM and she is so helpful. She really cares about her students and makes them want to attend class! One of the best professors I've had at Pitt yet!

I loved Debbie!! She is so sweet and is an excellent professor. She really cares about her students. There is a lot of work in this class but you'll get through it and learn something from it. Do not wait until last minute to do the final portfolio, it is a lot of work. Please take her, you will not regret it!

Debbie is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She really wants you to have fun while you learn and wants to help you learn. Tests are straightforward. She's very entertaining too. I hate group work, but Debbie had easy and fun group activities and movies that take up a lot of class time. TAKE HER!!

Comment:

Sweet, upbeat, friendly woman. Class was interesting and useful in understanding organizational culture. Grading can be a bit tough considering how laid back Debbie is, but I would DEFINITELY recommend her class.
