He seems very unprofessional with his online class. Barely assigns any work. Said he didn't know what class I was in when I handed in my first assignment and gave me no option to fix it. He never graded it. Everything he writes has terrible grammar and makes very little sense.

Do NOT take his course online. There are no power points or information about the material covered other than his assigned readings in the textbook. He puts in very little work to make online classes functional but expects perfection from students. Questions are unclear and getting in touch with him is hard. I've heard his class is better in person

Comment:

Professor Najarian is an instructor who truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He's a nice guy and sometimes tells funny stories in class. Be respectful, attend lecture, ask questions, take good notes, and you'll be just fine. Let him know if you are struggling or need help with anything. Highly recommend his classes.

Comment:

Professor Najarian was absolutely wonderful and I looked forward to his class every week. He is a dynamic lecturer who keeps things interesting with a great deal of class discussion. Expectations were very reasonable and he cares a lot about his students. He is approachable and extremely knowledgeable about his subject. 100% would take again.

Professor Najarian is a wonderful professor, he's very understanding to your situation if you can't make it to class. Everything is hand written, and he likes to engage with questions about historical periods. Everything that you go over class is on the exam.

professor najarian was amazing! he made western civ interesting to learn about and I genuinely loved the class. attendance is mandatory because all quizzes have to do with lectures. it is very lecture heavy but it's interesting the way he teaches. also really cares about students! all you really have to do is show up and listen

Professor Najarian is a well-educated and respected professor in the history department. Although I had him online, it was still easy for me to be in contact with him via email if I ever had any questions. He checks his email quite frequently. His tests can be rather hard, but as long as you do the readings, you should be fine!

Best professor I had EVER! He cares a lot about his students and does everything he can do to help you understand and pass his class. His work is based on lecture so take good notes and youre golden. Couldnt have asked for a better professor, took him twice and I recommend him to everyone !! P.S hes funny too

Lecture-based, but he makes it interesting and interactive with the whole class. No papers, just two Socratic seminars. Used historical novels as textbooks rather than classic boring one. Great discussion, fascinating couese

Took his western civ class and after the mid term I was failing. His tests were very hard but I then talked to him and we became close and he was very helpful. His tests were then switched to multiple choice and I did amazing. Overall good teacher just take your notes.

I am taking his Cold War class right now and I love it. He is a genuinely nice person and a great teacher, I have been dealing with things at home and he is cooperating and making it easier for me. I recommend and admire this professor!

The 4.8 rating is misleading. I am taking this guy for HIST1020 and I regret it each time a new prompt is emailed. This class is ONLY WRITING. What a joke class. Every assignment I've spent entire days on has gotten a dry, canned response from him that insults my hard work. I've done the best work in the class and never got an A. AVOID.

Professor Najarian is a very good professor. He does very good lectures, wants everyone to participate in class. He is a fair grader and wants to see everyone do well. He explains things well and elaborates if you don't understand something. I took him for Western Civ, and I would take him again!!

Absolutely top notch Professor. I have taken two courses with him and wished there were reason to take more, however I am not a History major. You must go to class! His lectures are crucial in understanding what knowledge he expects you to know. He gives outlines of what you will be tested on. He will engage you. Be diligent. I had a lot of fun!

The best professor I've ever had. Gives the best lectures and really gets you involved. Class discussions are big, and if you participate and voice your opinion he will show you lots of respect. Very intellectual guy and a lot of classes I looked at him as a role model more than a professor. Excellent professor and would take him again for sure.

Tells you on the first day that he doesn't want to fail anyone but you need to work for an A. His class is all lecture so its a good class if you don't mind writing/typing for an hour. The exams are essays and he gives you the study guide in advance. He tries to be funny even though he isn't. Attendance and participation matters to him!

Great Professor, spends all class lecturing and interacting with students. Attendance is a requirement as he covers a lot during the class! If you put in the work and time to study for his test and exams then you won't have any problem. The only thing you'll have a hard time understanding is his humor!

Professor Najarian makes this History class phenomenal. His teaching style caters to every student. He really cares about every student learning the material and enjoying the learning process. The textbook is used rarely at times, just for some home assignments. If you take really great notes and listen, you will not only pass, but it will be fun!
