Reading or not reading it did not matter what I did but still had no clue what was going on in this class. The class was an intro to ethics but honestly was far above an intro level. He is cool and very knowledgeable but when giving a lecture everything went right over my head. He also rambles a lot and puts grade in insanely late

Don't take this guy unless you are a philosophy major! The way he talks during his lectures is how someone would speak to people in higher up philosophy classes. He is also a pretty lousy grader, I have assignments ungraded from Jan and it's May now. He's a nice guy and all but, don't take him unless you REALLY are into philosophy.

He's a decent guy but he takes way too long to grade assignments for reference, it is April now and am still missing grades from January. During class discussions and lectures he can sometimes go off on tangents that only philosophy majors would really understand. He's a cool guy I just wish he didn't get so detailed.

Takes weeks on end to grade anything. Graded my mid term paper pretty much insulted me in the process with the feedback. Ive had straight A's though college and his class I finished with a C. The amount of reading is off the charts. The questions he asks can hard to understand. This is an elective, and is harder then any of my core classes

Comment:
He is an okay professor but he takes forever to grade assignments. It is practically the end of the summer session, and he took weeks to grade assignments we got at the beginning. Also, the amount of reading was ridiculous, I do not think any person in my class did all of that reading.

If you see other review that contains "he's a good person, but blah blah blah", I understand that. He gives ridiculous amount of reading, which is also obscure, and expects you to understand them. This is a challenge for most non-philosophy students who take his class mistakenly for credit earning. He's a great philosopher, in spite all this

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! BORING AND DIFFICULT AS HELL! This professor assigns homework/projects throughout the semester, which means you will be reading about 20+ pages of bs every day before class, then you finish the project, go to class, and he talks about 2-3 pages of the 20 he assigned, so you wasted your time reading 17+ pages of nothingness.

Professor Kazarian seems like a nice guy. But hes just all around not a good teacher. He goes off on tangents that dont make sense and is never clear on what the projects and homework are. The quizzes are very hard to pass. He cares about his students because he makes time for them for office hours but just doesnt know how to teach effectively.

He is an ok guy but as a professor he really isn't the best. He takes the whole semester to grade all the work and he doesn't even give you feedback in time to turn in final assignments. He is an overall mess and has to be reminded to post assignments the night before they are due.

He lectures all day every day. He is never clear on the assignments and all you do is read. You cannot read his handwriting on the board, but most of the time it makes no sense anyway. He's very passionate about this topic, but he doesn't know how to teach. There's no tests or quizzes just 2 papers and a few other "projects". If possible, avoid

Had him for World Philosophy I. In 3 words: Such a dude. Goes off on tangents, but they (usually) tie into the lesson. If you ask questions, he'll answer them clearly & concisely. Takes a ridiculously long time to get papers graded, but they come back w/ really in-depth comments. Do the readings & participate in class and you'll be golden.

I took Philosophy and Society online over the winter session. He was completely unhelpful during this three week course, and didn't even grade 3/4 of the discussions until after the class had concluded. I asked for explanations as to why I got points off on certain discussions, and never received any responses from him. Very rude; don't recommend.

I took this online course over winter session and could not have been more displeased. I never had a problem with and online class until now. He grades discussion board posts so tough and doesn't explain why and the quiz questions are worded in a way that can get confusing. I would not recommend taking Philosphy and Society online with him.

Look! Professor Kazarian really wants all students to succeed in class. Yea, the reading is tedious however he does a great job explaining the material. If you read this class will be easy. Put some effort in your work and you will succeed. Good Grader.

Just plain and simple, don't take him for World Philosophy. He does not respond to emails, he digresses from the point of the lecture leaving you stranded with the difficult reads, and takes MONTHS to grade the papers that take up 75% of the courses grade. You don't know where you stand until the very end.

He's an amazing instructor. He's a professor that truly CARES if you pass his class. He wants all of his students to do well and be successful. He's very understanding, all he wants is for you to do the work, which is THE ONLY way you'll learn. All of the people that rate him baddidn't do well didn't do the work.

This class would be great if he spoke english instead of 17th century english (like the philosophers you have to read) in essence, me makes little to no sense. and just when you think you understood something? NOPE

World Phil II. I was so interested in philosophy prior to taking this. Although the majority of the class is just him blabbering on, the tests are essays, which can be difficult because he grades a bit harshly. Learning the stuff is not hard, but he doesn't make it interesting. Overall, it's just boring and unnecessary.
