I love professor Fernandez, one of my favorite at MSU. At first I was concerned because I was not so good at math. But she makes sure everyone understands everything first before she moves on, and I mean everyone. She will take the time to go over it again and again. She is so caring and she drops your lowest quiz grades. Take her take her!

Very nice professor. Wants you to feel comfortable in her class. even though she keeps saying don't worry about your grade, she is a tough grader and takes points off. Have double feelings for her. Would take her again only if the other option would be way worse.

Professor Fernandez is the best professor I have ever had in college. She cares so much about students and their progress. She throws the standard boring curriculum out the window and does here own thing which is more helpful to those studying Math Ed. Take her if you get the chance. She expects a lot but the knowledge you obtain is worth it

Pretty easy class. There's no textbook, you work off some pdf's. She's incredibly helpful if you need help. I didn't know how to use Excel before this class, now I do. Take this for the math requirement!

Awesome professor and very helpful! Quizzes are spinoffs of the seven HW assigments and she is easy to reach for extra help outside of class. Definitely reccomend her for math gened!

Felt like an elementary school math class. No textbook, no exams. Just short papers. Our final was a one page paper on what we learned. She is nice and willing to talk after class but you may not need to as it is very easy. Must take if Math is just a GenEd.

I took her for Contemp. Applied Math and she was wonderful! I am terrible at Math but she explains everything so thoroughly that if you take notes during class, homework is a snap and good grades come easily! Take-home test, in class quizzes with partners, NO text! Excellent teacher willing to help any time you need her!

If she continues to opt out of a textbook, she needs to organize the class material better. Half the time, the students are lost which prevents the class from moving forward. That being said, the class isn't terribly hard because she dumbs it down to grade school level when it comes time for a test.

i dont know what everyone is talkign about, she is soo great! she tries her hardest and although she is not very "commanding" she tries soo hard to make sure everyone understands everything. if you are not so great in math you MUST take her. i did not gain a whole lot from this class but it was a req. and i didn't really care.
