I had the privileged to take this class with Dr. Ashby, and unfortunately it is her last semester of teaching. She is incredibly intelligent, with a witty sense of humor. If you are having a difficult time with her class, she offers many resources to better understand the material. She responds quickly to emails, and her office hrs. are flexible.

I loved having Dr. Ashby as a teacher! I usually don't leave comments on this site but she really is an amazing teacher. I always recommend her to anyone who has to take Bio. If you take her class i suggest printing out her online powerpoints and use them for the quizzes. Shes very caring and funny. Never a dull class. Very dedicated to her job.

Dr. Ashby is an amazing professor! I had a blast taking her class. Even though I'm terrible at Biology, she makes the class fun. Her lectures are entertaining and enjoyable, and I really like her bright personality. I highly recommend her to anyone who has to take Biology!

I took her for both general biology 1 and general biology 2. She was one of the best professors that I have ever had. I highly recommend taking her class. Her tests are hard, but if you study you should do well. She is a fun teacher who is always willing to help.
