Comment:

Granland is a knowledgable professor, but his teaching strategy could use some work. Class was lecture heavy, with many projects, some going unfinished. Instead of lionpath, he kept track of grades using an excel spreadsheet to keep track of grading. Be sure to write your name on everything, as papers he returns count as ungraded. Keep everything.

I ACTUALLY LIKED HIM ALOT. HE'S A VERY EASY TEACHER. HE DOESNT GIVE U TESTS, HE JUST GIVES YOU QUIZZES EVERY 2-3 WEEKS. I RECOMMEND HIM!..THERES NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULDNT GET AT LEAST A B IN HIS CLASS

Really great guy (very absent minded though) who will do just about anything for you. However, if you plan on doing alot of CAD, Solid Works, etc in your major/career be advised that we barely covered these. He did ALOT of graphis by hand (ie with a ruller and paper). If you are not gogin into a CAD intensive field take him.

He's a funny guy, kind of absent-minded. Definitely don't take your grades too seriously, as long as you pay attention, you'll do fine. He can be sidetracked VERY easily. He knows just about everything related to mechanical engineering, but may not know what day (or year) it is. I think he had everyone laughing at least once every class. Take ihim.

If you are an MET, you see a lot of this guy. He's humorous and knows his stuff. Kind of absent-minded, but a real brain. Tests and quizzes are easy, if there even are any. Will try to help you understand the material. Ask questions in class, because he's hard to find any other time. Ask him about Honda if you don't want to have class for the day.

He's really funny. His monotone may put you to sleep, but the classes are SOOOOO easy. No office hours, but you really shouldn't need them. Read the book, you'll do fine. He gets sidetracked a lot, usually with funny if not interesting anecdotes. Oh yeah, you can consistently give yourself about twenty minutes after class starts before he shows up.

Shows up for class fifteen minutes late, talks about manufacturing in China for ten minutes. Then it's off to find markers-I'd think after a couple times he'd just bring his own. Back again, 45 min. after class starts, finally starts class. You should get an A, IF he doesn't lose your papers.
