Comment:

Loved having Hoffman for my English 104 class. He's hilarious and I actually enjoyed going to class. Participation matters, he keeps attendance records that impact grades. A lot of group projects. He gives great feedback on papers. He also swears constantly, so don't get offended. But he is without a doubt one of the best teachers i have had!

Eric is a really good teacher. He lets you call him Overlord if you want which is probably one of the coolest things ever. He has very clear grading material and lets you revise everything up until the final portfolio is due. Pretty chill teacher. A- overall.

The best teacher I have ever had. Very relatable, helpful, funny guy. Personally goes over what you need to do to improve. Gives you a good amount of time to finish papers. You can revise a paper to get a better grade in the class. If you don't this class you are crazy. Let me reiterate. BEST teacher possible for an English class.

He made my writing skills go to the highest level... with a unique teaching style. He is not the average. I learned alot from him then in any other english class i have ever had. he's an awesome teacher. he is a bit hard on the papers, but you can always re-do as many times you want and get a better grade then before! Only 6 papers and NO EXAMS!

Eric is incredible when it comes to technology. I learned more from him in one semester than I have about technology in general in the last 20 years! He has a stunning personality and a great sense of humor. All I can say is "fantastique!"

Enjoyable class, but hard on papers. What do you expect from a advanced english class? He will always let you re-re-re-revise papers as many times as you can in the semester. Is fair about grading and believes everything is infinitely revisable. Always there to help.

Makes English fun again. Most people have to take English anyways, take it with him if you can. Very non traditional teaching style that is awesome!
