Most of your time will be spent watching movies and working on group projects. He is unorganized, gets off track, reschedules assignments a lot, and degrades his own students. He also blatantly tells your class the other is better than yours. Would not recommend. -A.

Prof, Jacobson is the best!!! I had him for cinema 26 and took 25 because his class is so fun and easy! If you are not understanding something he will explain. He gives you a study guide which is exactly like the final!! Amazing guy

Miss a couple assignments, you can still pass. He gives a lot of extra credit, you just gotta do it. If you need anything to be clarified, then just ask, his lectures will show you how passionate he is in his work. Quizzes/exams are identical & EASY! If you get an A+ on the quiz, then you dont have to take the exam. Easygoing, enjoyed taking him!

This class is easy and something to look forward to. There is a film to watch almost every class with film notes due the next week which are easy once you know what to write. He gives multiple opportunities for extra credit. The only stressful part would be the tests but he gives a study guide which is EXACTLY the same as the test. Recommended

Prof. Jacobson is super outgoing and knows his stuff! I love watching movies, and thats the extent of my knowledge. He brought so many things to my attention and made me appreciate how much goes in to making a film! I learned WAY more than I thought I would! You'll watch movies, write a short film note on it and turn it in. extra credit is easy too

Not very clear on assignments and projects. Hes very unorganized and forgets things all the time. The course was very easy but the tests were very big, although you can most of the answers online. He also expects you to participate in lectures. A few presentations throughout and showed us some great American films.

Cool person, but not a good professor. Expects you to make his class the only thing you have to focus on. Is unorganized. Will put you on the spot. His lectures are all over the place and wants everyone to learn based on group presentations where no one knows what theyre talking about

DO NOT take him unless necessary. I dropped the class after the 3rd meeting. Taking his class was like taking an english, communication, art, & cinema class all in one. He is never clear and gets annoyed when people ask him questions. If he does not like your work he will tell you in front of the class that you are not college level.

One of the most BEST professors I've ever taken! homework is ridiculously easy! I really enjoyed the films he put on. He gives great advice on life and in college. He is so NICE and so SWEET! Such a gentleman!! He loves to share his stories as well. Stay on top of due dates! He does NOT remind you!! :)

He basically gives a ton of quizzes in order to give you MANY chances to make up for your grades. He goes over the answers of the quizzes and exams. Prof. Jacobson gives his students multiple chances to make up for their grades by giving the same exact quizzes over and over. He even gives 2 chances on the final. Great Professor.

Took this class after taking cinema 26 with him, it was equally as good of an experience as my first! He is an amazing professor and very funny. He keeps you entertained! Definitely recommend!

Professor Jacobson is amazing, I highly recommend him as a professor. He engages the class, and makes it fun! He does require you to do the work, but its not hard... he is awesome and I wish he had more classes I could take with him!

It is not a gimme class but it is not difficult at all. A couple of short papers and a few presentations, but nothing crazy as far as classwork. There are quizes and test that you will need to study for. He showed me a new way to view cinema. I would def take his class again. He gives you the textbook.
