Comment:
Dr. Page is so awesome. He is so kind, compassionate, and full of knowledge. He is a professor that realizes that he doesn't know everything, he wants to expand his knowledge just as much as his students. I appreciated how he pushed me to image and think of new possibilities rather than being pessimistic, which is so common in academia.

Dr. Page is hands-down one of the best professors I have ever had in my entire college career. He is very well-informed, insightful, and addresses topics that usually get left out of the conversation. Super inspirational guy. He wants his students to succeed!

Really good professor for sociology. Explores the topics to which should be taught in sociology and helps you open your mind to various concepts. Extremely knowledgable. His notes and video lecture were very helpful and easy to follow. Good Class and Good professor.

Dr. Page is a great guy, however, his lectures were extremely boring. I went to lecture 4 times. The midterm and final are both online, there's a final paper (5-7 pages) at the end. You can watch a movie and write it in an hour. Extremely easy credit, but you don't learn anything.

Although there is quite a bit of reading, there is something to gain from both the readings and the lectures. Dr. Page is knowledgeable about all the topics he teaches and offers great insights. Only a midterm exam and a final exam and a 5-6 page paper analyzing a movie, book or documentary. Everyone should take a class like this.

Dr. Page is my favorite soc teacher. He knows his stuff, cares about his students, and wants you to succeed. He works with you when you have issues that may prevent you from completing an assignment. He is helpful and caring. His lectures are long but they are informative and useful.

Very interesting and definitely knows his stuff. A lot of the links for the videos and readings are broken though, so you may have to do a little research on your own. Kind of scatterbrained and tangential at times. Easy grader, offers extra credit. Good class online, would have fallen asleep in person. Time intensive

Easy enough, grade is based off of two tests and one 5-6 pg paper. The amount of lectures/videos he expects you to watch is a bit excessive, so I simply read the textbook and the lecture notes. Some opportunities for extra credit, and he adds points after each test to raise the curve. Overall, good class.

Nice guy; extremely boring class. Grade based on 2 tests and 1 paper, which to me is scary but I did ok. I stopped going to class and finished watching lectures online so I could speed up lectures and not fall asleep. Very boring-if you want a class on different religions try taking a world religion or something.

Lots and lots of readings for this course. The midterm and final are pretty hard, even if you study. The final paper is pretty easy as long as you actually research and write fairly well. He wants his students to do well and will help you out if you need anything.

Sociology of Religion is the best course I have taken at the U! Extremely interesting and he tries very hard to make the concepts understandable. I looked forward to watching the videos online because the subject matter was just so interesting.

Great teacher. Very helpful and flexible. 2 tests and a paper is all your grade is based on. I took it online and he was the best online instructor I've had. Extremely fast grader which is convenient.

Great Professor! He really got me interested in sociology. I liked his lectures and I appreciated that he was straightforward and did not shy away from certain topics that tend to be shelved in Utah. Great class and interesting readings!

really nice guy. easy class but you have to read. you don't really need to read the textbook just the things online. participate online for extra points. his tests are open book and open internet and online, which gives you like a 3 hours window. so basically they are easy. paper is harder to write but its on what inters test you so it is cool

I have taken several classes from Professor Page after my first Soc 1010 class where he peaked my interest in sociology. Yes, he simply lectures, but if you listen he is a very thoughtful and intelligent guy, with a nice sense of humor. It's simple to get a good grade, and he is just awesome. My favorite professor!

Dr. Page is one of my favorite professors. Some people say he's boring, but I really enjoy his classes. I have taken 5 classes from him. It's really easy to get a good grade in his classes, so that's a nice bonus. He's a really cool guy, and isn't afraid to be controversial. He is the reason I became interested in sociology, which is now my major.
