Comment:

gives way to much homework, and puts things on tests that he doesnt go over in class. Has a very bad temper, and is very rude to students. Goes through material way to fast so you cant even comprehend it or take the time to write it down or understand. Gets mad when you answer questions incorrectly and grades very harshly.

Comment:

Great professor! Gives homework everyday but most of it is very easy to complete-only takeing around 10 min. He has great teaching techniques, but give lots of quizzes, however they are quite easy as long as you pay attention in class and take the time to memorize needed vocab. I would recommend him!

Mr. Jones knows his Spanish, but he does not allow time for the students to speak it to him. He rushes through plans like the wind. He gives more homework than any other class I have ever had. I went to see him in his office, and I left more confused. I dreaded going to his class. It is as if he knows the language, but is unwilling to share it.

Jones is an alright professor. I have learned quite a bit from him. However, it's true that he gives a lot of homework and he seems to favor native speakers. One thing that bothered me is that we have to write papers but he insists we don't get ANY outside help. Makes it hard to get an A. And the tests are hard.

Useless professor if you actually want to learn the language. I had him last term (got an A) but now I am waaayyy behind for Spanish 103. Do not take him if you are going on to the next level or care about knowing Spanish when you are done.

Not a good professor. I am a very good student, last term I got almost 100% in my class. This term I did all my homework and literally never missed a class but somehow still only managed a B. Jones is not a good teacher and if I had the option to take him again I would NOT.

He is not the best Spanish professor. He focuses more on grammmar rather than speaking. Grading is semi-subjective. Also he goes through class notes way too fast so its hard to copy them down.

Great teacher! He gives homework every day so in that aspect it is a lot. On the other hand, you can usually finish it in about 5 to 10 minutes. AND he doesn't grade you on whether or not it is correct but on whether or not you did it. AWESOME! This is a show up and pass class. Nice teacher who is very patient with students.

He's a good teacher and a nice guy. He has a little trouble being clear on some of the rules sometimes but if you keep asking questions he'll keep trying to explain it. 2 exercises a night isn't that much homework.

Horrible professor! DO NOT take him for ANY classes! I went from having a B in 301 to a D in 302 and he said that, that is "normal". Tons of homework, lots of tests and over 400 word essays. He was extremely unhelpful and very biased to native spanish speakers. When I went to talk to him about my grade he yelled at me.

Gives rediculous amounts of homework.(being 1 of 2 language teachers without a Ph.D. will do that to you) and is very unclear. Spoke ONLY in spanish, and didnt teach things in any particular order. I would not take upper level classes with him unless you are REALLY SKILLED in spanish, or you'll just feel like an idiot.

Good sense of humor. Speaks in Spanish a lot, but if you miss something, he will repeat himself in English or slower in Spanish. Lenient on problems with a new book, but will probably be less as he becomes more familiar with it. I'd say he gives out his share of homework, but it's about as much as I got in HS Spanish. I'd take 3rd year from him

Very creepy. He talked a lot about inappropraite things and how he hates teaching and how it doesnt pay well. He grades very unfairly. Expectations and assignments unclear. He is disorganized and lost my paper. He speaks quietly and mumbles. I have always succeeded in spanish and found myslef frustrated.

great sense of humor, but likes to give homework. Not lots but enough to make you think. Lots of learning involved......lots of practice. Be prepared to speak lots of Spanish!!!!!!!
