I've had Mr. Hampshire for Cultural Geography and Ethnic Studies. I did take issue with one of his outbursts during class because he was frustrated with a faulty video player (we've all been there, he could have handled it better) but over all, he is an excellent instructor, he knows his topics and shows passion for what he does.

Professor Hampshire is an amazing guy and really great to talk with outside of class. He is energetic and wants you to understand and excell in his classes. He has a "gruff old guy" persona but you can tell he cares about this school and the students. He constantly puts in complaints to the higher ups about equipment being mediocre

If you have a parochial ethnocentric opinion about the finite space you occupy in this world, you will find this is a tough class to digest. However, if you care about the effects of globalization, climate change, cultural identity, and human geography, then you will find this well traveled professor to be very interesting and inspirational.

He is VERY anti-America. The young and naive tend to think he is great but older students who revere America and know a little about American history will not fair well. I've never seen such a hateful person in an American school. Commonly requires written papers. Writing the truth about anti-American characters will get you accused of plagiarism.

I took this course online was severely disappointed in how the instructor taught the course. There were mandatory discussion boards online that he never responded to once. He had quizzes for each chapter but never gave any answers. He had reviews but never gave any answers to the review. He also graded his papers unfairly. Avoid this professor!

I took this class online where discussion board was a sizable part of the grade. Quizzes were tough and answers were not given for missed questions. The textbook had some inaccuracies. He grades on a curve which makes up for the extremely specific questions on tests.

Took an online class from him and was overloaded with information on how to take his class. The answers you miss on quizes were not available and so you never new how to fix your problems. Not really straight to the point with his clas. Seemed like a great debater though and really wanted to know your opinion which made the class fun.

good teacher fair knows alot of stuff has a fun paper-- tests are fair but not easy great guy to talk to after class-- good sense of humor
